Honestly doesn't matter much whether you want to save it or not. Though on the ships they usually have quite tight corridors and smaller areas so sometimes like a jedi or an enforcer with a sonic imploader or rocket launcher can be good in those small areas to get multi kills. Though they can also be very useful to capture points while in the ground phase.

The ground phase is almost always more important than the ship phases. Most teams who win the ground phase,, also win the second phase. The capital ships are much harder to defend then they are to attack. So I usually don’t wait. Of course there are different uses for each reinforcement units. I.E. I wouldn’t use the wookie warrior that much on ground phase maps, as they are more catered toward tight spaces. Also I really recommend finding your roll/ dash key. It is probably the most useful movement option available to any character in the game. Especially Jedi or Jet troopers

Only thing about that game mode. You could get up to the ship and fail to destroy the last objective. Then you are back down at kamino fighting to get back to the ship. If the enemy wins. They are on your ship and visa versa. Can be there for hours back and forth

This mode feels like the spiritual successor to BF:2142's Titan mode. 2 phases, capture ground stations to destroy the enemy Titan's shields, board, then destroy the reactor.

For the ship phase, I would definitely recommend using the clone commando over the rocket trooper. With the commando you can dish out large amounts of splash damage with your anti-armor attachment, perfect for tightly packed hallways with lots of enemies.

BF2 is insanely fun when you have a server full of people (sadly rare to find people on bf2 currently, but also does depend on what mode/ time you do so) the mod support for bf2 is still active to this day and really does make me happy to see. the only mode I know is unplayable is the heroes vs villains mode sadly is riddled with hackers due to EA I guess just not updating the anti-cheat? really disappointing as the mode is fun if you can find a server that is just a normal match.

This game had bad press because of the pay to win power card system, it took like 200 hours to unlock the best characters for free, it was well deserved criticism, hopefully they make a third one properly.

Starcards didn't make you much better, and you had to be level 50 to get purple cards from crates which most people didn't even know they had a rank that is hidden in the settings menu. Oh, and the last thing is they disabled microtransactions the day it launched because Disney forced them to after all of the backlash they were receiving online from everyone saying dumb crap like "you have to buy Vader for $20" lol it was hilarious. So I have to ask, did you even play at launch?

01:12 you can unlock the dual scope (or whatever the specific name is) attachment for your weapon You have to get a certain number of kills with the specific weapon you want attachments for though I think it's 25 for the first 50 for the second and 75 for the third but I'm not sure on those numbers

I'm glad I'm not the only one still playing. I recently purchased Battlefront II in the Spring of 2023. It is now January 2024 and I am addicted to this game to the point that I play it almost every day now to unlock weapons attachments and upgrade my heroes. Honestly, I also having difficulty using lightsaber heroes but I am slowly learning how to make it work.

I found this game a couple of years after its release (when they had sadly already quit updating it) and was super impressed. It is really fun and as you mention the graphics are great. I really enjoyed the gameplay. Such a bummer that there wasn't more updates and content provided as it would have truly been awesome then - the only reason I quit playing was because I got bored of the same thing for so long.

Man you are kind of lucky you get to play your games this smooth. I have like a 1% chance to have a full player lobby in my Japan server just to play it smoothly. Going to other servers just to play with other players just frustrates me sometimes. Keep playing though. Have fun! Edit: Quick tip btw. When reloading be sure you click as soon as the moving white bar is on a blue or yellow bar. The long red bar that you see there is a cooldown but you can shorten it by clicking it at either of those 2 bars.

Use the ALT key to dodge, you can do it with any normal infantry, good to evade shots, with jedi or sith it's good to move quickly too.

If you do co-op multiplayer missions, you play against bots but can level up your classes still. So it’s far easier to unlock the one shot sniper on that with a lot less time/effort

This is THE game that caused lootboxes to disappear from games. It's a shame really, what happend to this game. It's like the best Battlefield, but it's Star Wars. Only EA got so greedy they made the $70 game literally pay2win. To unlock upgrades, jedi, sith and other special characters you had to open lootboxes. You could buy these with real money or grind thousands of hours. People (like the whole gaming community) got so mad that the whole system was removed, but the damage was done. The game never really made that much money for EA and it died out. A shame cause this was so much fun, so well optimized, so good.

For the sniper class, I like to use star cards to upgrade my macro binoculars, replace the shock grenade with the stinger pistol, and increase the battle points earned. I prefer using the middle ability to move from one vantage point to another, as it allows the sniper to travel quickly while also be invisible to enemy radar. I like to use the stinger pistol for close combat to save on the middle ability, as well as the fact that it is good on heroes since it continues to damage enemies even after you've died. I use the macro-binoculars a lot to scout out targets, as well as using the ability to tag enemies. With the upgraded macro-binoculars I think allies can see who you've tagged as well.

At release, all the cool characters/vehicles/weapons were an insane grind to unlock but you could progress by luck via loot boxes. Whole things was geared to get people to buy and gamble. But the game itself was still great. The pay to win mechanic was actually removed quickly after launch but folks kept hating on the game

I bought a competition machine, I played Alien Fireteam Elite, Helldivers 2, Space Marine 2, and I'll spare you all the other games, to realize that the new games are made by people who start from scratch, and except graphics, it's really passable or not finished. When, after 800 hours on Battlefront 2, I come back to this game and I can put all the graphics to the max, I realize that no other game on the market competes with this gem, which still has flaws like matchmaking and mouse acceleration in space fighter mode which makes aiming really annoying. Suddenly, I no longer have any games from my active Steam catalog, because there is simply no game that can compete in terms of fun and replayability. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is the best video game investment and the most accomplished game in terms of multiplayers. There is a campaign, battle on land, battle in space and other mods like co-op... With the graphics turned up (and we can add the free sofware ReShade), this 2017 game outshines every other game I have that came out in 2024... It's crazy when you think about it. If EA had continued to develop the game, I think they could have even made a monthly subscription so good the game is...

My friends and i still play this on xbox, supremacy,galactic assault and co-op. It is awesome, so much more detail than most modern games. I will push back on you speaking about the bad reviews….when this game came out it was terribly monetized by ea. The game was unplayable and frustrating with the loot boxes. They eventually abandoned all of that and made it a progression system.

When the game first released it was a pay to win shat show and they only changed it because the outrage. Don't be afraid to read reviews as, at the time, they were accurate. You got credits based upon the length of the match, not your skill. You used those credits to buy loot boxes, with it taking several matches to get one loot box. Loot boxes gave you a small amount of scrap. You used that scrap to upgrade your abilities. It took hundreds of hours to build up enough scrap to get your abilities fully upgraded. The game sucked at release and they only changed it because if you had pre-bought you had 10 hrs of gameplay 1 week before release, we complained because it sucked. Don't bash reviewers because the game, years after release, is finally good.

You should roll much more, you take reduced damage while your rolling and it lets you immediately get out of the way of enemy fire Dashing with Jedi is even stronger because you character does a dash instead of a roll, letting them move faster than most other units You should also try to hit the blue or gold bars when you weapon overheats, blue cools your weapon immediately and golf gives you infinite ammo for a short amount of time Great video though, this game crazy good, it’s jus such a shame that it was abandoned for battlefield 2042 of all things
