I stepped out of my comfort zone this time and picked up an X-Wing Pilot helmet: Carson Teva. This good looking helmet is worn by actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee in his portrayal of the astute New Republic fighter pilot, Captain Carson Teva. He appears in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and the Ahsoka series on Disney+. I love Paul's portrayal of Carson Teva. And the fact that he's a HUGE Star Wars fan makes it all the better. He's living our collective dreams and he's knocking it out of the park. I'd love to see them resurrect the Rangers of the New Republic series but with him as the lead.

Right, Mike! He's such a great guy. I had never heard of him before, but quickly became a fan of his character, and later the actor when I saw what a down-to-Earth person he is and so entertaining. I'm glad they made his helmet!

I own the Luke version, but really like the Blue. There is one thing this helmet needs. Clear coat. 1 small can of a good automotive brand. Remove the shield, bottom rubber strip and tape it off. Super easy, super fast and the results are awesome. Watch Star Wars Ahsoka Episode 5 at 19:05 min. This is a good reference source.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Tiger Claw. As awesome as this helmet is, the one small nitpick I have with it is that it has a slightly matte finish to it and insn't shiny enough. A good quality clear coat would do the trick for sure. Thanks for stopping by, checking out the video and offering that helpful tip!

Hi Paul, another great video and so glad to see that you got one of these sooner than you thought you might do. It is a lovely helmet and I think that these pilot helmets have the best electronics of any of the Black Series helmets. I have all 4 variants now and they each have unique electronics packages.

Hey, Paul! It was soon after I commented on your video that Hasbro Pulse started shipping them. The other online retailers here in the states still say February. And I agree with you. These electronics are head and shoulders above the silly voice changers they put in the trooper helmets. And they have gotten really good at camouflaging the buttons, battery compartments and speakers on these. As you saw, this is my first Black Series X-Wing pilot helmet and I have to admit, I really like it! Thanks for stopping by and checking this one out with me!

Dude, it's helmets galore so far here in 2024! And you are right, this one is gorgeous. I'm at a point now, where I am having to pick and choose which helmets get displayed and which ones go back in the box and in the closet. This one makes the grad though, and is on a shelf across from the Detolf cabinets. It looks too good! Thanks for checking this one out, Luke! I appreciate ya!

Between the actor being such a great guy, and the character being the only one with any sense in the New Republic, I knew I was going to have to have this one for sure! Well what another fine addition to your collection. I like Carson Teva as a character, I am hoping he gets a black series figure soon. I know that these black series helmets arent the best on the market but for the price point you cant beat it. I cant wait to get my Captain Rex helmet (hopefully soon). Thanks, Ryan! And I agree with you. We need him in TVC as well We already have a ton of figures from Ahsoka, coming, but not him. And he's even been in THREE of the productions now. They're killing me over at Hasbro! haha! Thanks for checking out another video. The re-issued Prototype Boba Fett helmet is my next helmet video, then I think Captain Rex is coming in a few weeks after that! Can't wait!

Other great review as always, I considered getting more x wing helmets but all I need is Luke’s helmet lol , can’t wait for the captain Rex helmet I just pre ordered it , so excited to see how you like it too 👍.

I neve4 had an xwing helmet before ? There's one in the case behind you at 4.38 min 😂 is that the one you got that was very poorly made? Carson helmet is beautiful & the only pilot helmet that is un weathered just like in the program's.

You have a very good eye and are clearly paying attention, Paul! Nice! And yes, that is the only other X-Wing helmet I have purchased, coincidentally because it was also a Carson Teva helmet from a Facebook seller, and it, as you remember, was garbage! So, it was customized into the Paul's Collectibles X-Wing Pilot helmet. And I agree, this one is gorgeous and I love the crispity cleanliness of it also!

Oh my god, Michael! You know me so well. I have been pouring over the Denuo Novo site for months, each time talking my self out of getting some of those X-Wing helmets they have from A New Hope. They are gorgeous. And every time I look through the Big Bad Toy Store site, I have to force myself not to get the Trapper Wolf helmet. I'm holding out strong, but I don't know for how long! haha!

I got it for very, very cheap at an outlet store ($30) so I'm not pressed on getting anything for it. I need to make some room for all of my SamoilovART helmets (you should really check those out too! Best clone helmet molds and paintjobs out there imo) so I'm trying to get rid of the ones I'm kind of "meh" about.

I, like you, however, only have a passing interest in the helmet and it's more of a novelty since it belongs to a character played by one of the directors than a "must have" for me. Plus, it would just go right into storage if I got it from you since I have no room to display it. Thank you so much nonetheless!
