Black Friday made this $60 whoo finally got one. Usually $99-130 in 2024. Heard this and the scout were the better quality. Looks like the thickest. I prefer that. Nice and heavy. Thanks for the showcase.

I have had a pretty similar experience with the Boba Fett helmet (ESB). Got the first one when it came out. The weathering looks a bit goofy, exactly like silver marker. Was not too happy and tried to improve it. Did not look great. Now this same helmet got a new batch or something, and I snatched it up again. What a surprise! The weathering looks really good for what it is. I decided to customize my first Boba to match one of Mandalorian kits. And I agree, their Captain Rex helmet is superb, really enjoy this one.

Thanks for stopping by, And yeah, I agree with you, I was able to pick up the Black Series Boba Fett helmet a couple years ago when the re-released it and was a bit let down by the weathering on that one as well. It seemed more like an urban camouflage pattern then real weathering for sure. If you go back in my video catalog, you can see the video I published regarding that helmet as well. And the Captain Rex helmet is by far their best example of weathering for sure. I appreciate you checking out the video!

I recently got the Shadow Trooper and it was packed the same way; I was also expecting it to be in three parts. When it was first released it was an Amazon exclusive that didn't get overseas AFAIK so I was happy to get it at a reasonable price directly from Hasbro Pulse. While I do think the recessed lines look better, unfortunately that means they can't just reuse the front piece for a Tie Fighter pilot as those don't have the lines. I'm not confident Hasbro will ever do that helmet, as it would be massive -though it could be broken down in even more parts. It is however a key helmet missing from the original trilogy, and one they could even modify to be a AT-AT driver easily.

I agree with everything you said here, Jose-Ramon. I especially think that we are never going to get some of the classic helmets from Hasbro because it feels like they are beholden to Lucasfilm to support the new content. That's why we're seeing only mildly popular characters like The Stranger and The Armorer get helmets, but we still don't have the ones you mentioned. Hopefully, they'll prove me wring some day. We shall see.

I pre ordered this ages ago. Received it not so long ago. And I left it sat in its brown shipper for a while cos I just assumed it was a Bo repaint. I’m glad I did that cos when I opened it today it was a massive surprise. Seems aside. It’s an awesome helmet. Hasbro could’ve easily re tooled this one but they didn’t. Good job 👍🏻

Not gonna lie, Mitch. When I ordered this one, I was sure it was just going to be a Bo Katan repaint. I even had my Bo Katan helmet ready to go so I could grouse and complain in my video. Then? BAM! Yeah out the box it's terrible but a little weathering and scratching up the red to look less like a child did it really brings it to life. Still, if I had to sell one of my helmets to make space it would be this one

Well said, RD. And that's exactly what I did with my first one of these. I painted it over with glossy yellow, weathered it nicely, and ended up with a cool Artillery Stormtrooper helmet. I just went to Disney world and picked this up. I was on the fence for a bit, but looking at it again, I couldn’t pass it up. I compared it to the ROTS images of Gree online, and every detail lined up. Anyone who goes to Galaxies Edge should 100% pick this one up.

It doesn't, Combat. I don't mind because I feel they represent different versions of the clones we have seen, whether in live-action or animated. Helmet looks fantastic! And I feel as if Disney is the more true to scale version. I loved the phase 2 helmets by Hasbro but they are a bit bigger than the other helmets they produced. Regarding what you said about Disney giving us more phase 2 helmets: I agree, I have a feeling that their exclusivity contract with hasbro is winding down. Hence why we see more things such has these helmets and things such as the c3po head. This was apparent to me when I noticed the black series lightsabers/helmets really slowed down in production. I feel as if they don’t make even 1/3rd of what they used to

Yeah, I think you may be on to something there, Flodux. I would have expected Hasbro to have pumped out a few more Phase II variants by now since they already have the mold. I wonder if the have a non-compete clause in place with Disney so they don't end up producing the same helmets. Oh, that's interesting, Gary. The vast majority of those who comment on these Disney helmets prefer them because they are smaller, not the other way around. Glad to hear that I am not the only one who doesn't mind the larger size of the Hasbro helmets. And no, I don't have any of the Kylo helmets. I've just never been a fan of the design, and the sequel trilogy was not amongst my favorites. So, with rare exceptions, I usually just end up sticking to the trooper helmets.

I really enjoy the color scheme of this helmet. I have been on the fence whether to pick this one up or not but after watching your video I am getting it. I agree, Ryan. As an Army veteran, I was happy to finally see some camo clones for sure. And I'm glad I was able to help with your decision-making with this video. It has a couple flaws, but overall, this helmet displays beautifully. Plus, I've always been a fan of the Phase II clone design. Thanks for the kind words as well. Moving to Montana in the middle of the winter, from Arizona, is definitely going to test my patience, and my marriage! haha! We'll see how it goes.

Great looking helmet. That would look good on a full size mannequin. Would look great next to your full sized stormtrooper. A before and after troopers

That's a great idea, Michael! I have the Stormtrooper statue and the Transport Trooper statue. I would definitely like to look into getting more life-size statues depending on the space I have for sure. They look great and people are wow'ed when the see them!

I would be tempted with this helmet but the front vents are not accurate to the source material. They shouldn’t be there at all.

Yeah, Collector, a few other people have mentioned those. It's clearly because this is a straight repaint of the 187th Battalion helmet. The thing that cracks me up is that they have those vents, but then they painted on more right behind them. They should have just chosen one or the other. haha! @ no problem and yeah, if they got rid of the front ones and kept the back ones, then it would’ve been accurate haha. Laziness but ultimately, wasted some paint / sculpting with the front ones.

The Disney helmet is miles better than the Hasbro (mine has been retired now). Aside from the size difference, and the Disnney version looking more screen accurate, if you look at the top of the visor, the Disney version is flush to the helmet, while the Hasbro has a huge gap!

Yeah, these two different versions of the Phase II Clone helmet certainly have divided the collectors for sure, Paul. I like them both for different reasons. The worst thing about the Disney helmet is that back piece that separates out and leaves two HUGE seams on the side of the helmet. Overall, the Disney versions do look really good, though. The look is absolutely amazing, and that’s another great review all great points. I’ve seen many not happy about the front side vents being there when only the back ones are in revenge of the sith, does that matter much to you as I’m sure it would only make a slight imperfection to the accuracy

Woah. The metallic look gives it a less toyish vibe compared to that disneys 187th' purple trooper helmet. hopefully hasbro launches Commander Cody's helm one of these days. I'd be all over that one.

Hey Paul I think that helmet has batteries in it already, cos if you see where the batteries go in. There’s a pull tag to pull out, so the batteries can touch the terminals so the batteries don’t go flat, looks great tho.
