I think you and I are close in age. I completely agree on the Nostalgia aspect. That is especially why I’ve been getting these Star Wars black 6 inch figures. I’ve stuck to episodes 4, 5 and 6. But also just my favorite characters either the reboot like Darth Maul, Gen. Grievous, Mace Windu... Another set of figures that I got that same feeling from was the Mad Magazine Just Us Figures. Every different little Alfred E Newman is like a Christmas gift...

That Bespin Luke is a definite improvement over the original. Looks amazing and better! Also, to point out; the lightsaber from the new Bespin Luke, the blade is slightly thicker than the original.

Oh that's good news. My original ESB luke saber blade snapped off inside the hilt. Imagine my horror... It was like the scene where marv has the tarantula on his face in home alone. That cat is gone now. Nuff said. (Wasn't her first offense. She Also broke the saber on my medicom 12" vader, and broke the arm off my 12" legends punisher.)

@@RandomStuffGarage619 I had the same reaction. I even snapped the blade peg from my Hoth Luke as well ;; and it sucked. For the time being, I had to super glue the Hoth Luke blade onto the Bespin Luke hilt for now.

hey fwoosh the leg problem also happens with marvel legends, you can tie an elastic band round the legs and leave it over night to squeeze the legs together. This will push them back in :).

Fantastic review, I just picked up the wave 2 Lando, Hoth soldier and Imperial pilot at Target, as well as Han, Luke and Bespin Leia. Mine will remain in the card. Way too much nostalgia to be removed. I also had the original 1977 figures as a kid and these hit all the right spots.

I got the first wave and will be getting all of the esb anniversary mainly due to retro cardbacks. Although I feel like the packaging is slightly different. Maybe a slightly cheaper material. I’m waiting on some protective cases to arrive and The corner on my Leia cardback started peeling within a a few days which is slightly disappointing.

Depends what you're looking for. Original Trilogy, Prequel Trilogy, Modern films, or all. If all I'd say look for pegwarmers. This will be perfect for an Empire collector. In the end look for what's affordable & what you want.

Definetly worth mentioning that the elbows bend better than the original..at least on mine. Also the hips on the new one allow the legs to be closer together. Again at least on mine.

@@TheFwoosh interesting. I noticed mine was "gappy" in the hips so maybe it was a defect. It's like the legs are pushed all the way into the crotch so this may be a side effect of that. So I made up a word (gappy) and talked about legs pushing into crotches all in one sentence. Ahhh KZbin comments...we love you.

Fwoosh you ever have trouble finding 6 inch Clones? I swear I keep seeing them around $60+ same for the Model Kits. just don't understand it. I feel like a basic Storm and Clone should come along with every wave. they are Army Builders that are pricey and hard to find at a physical store! I really want to get into painting and I want to start with Clones and get a purple/orange them going but I don't want to do it on Storm Trooper Bandai MK's because... erm.... The head is new as it's based on Hamill in Empire Strikes Back, after he had facial reconstruction from an accident, so he would look different.

Robo tear-o! Man does it make me cringe when you rip those beautiful cards open! Dude, open the bubble carefully with a blade (is cut the top, bottom and one side so the plastic can open and give full access to the figure, but still display the figure and look surprisingly good (not to fool anyone, just for your own display and play). If nothing else I'll buy your opened cardbacks, but just be gentle! :-) I was hoping you'd zoom in on that Bespin Luke card art - it looks really strange in videos and some people have whipsered in hushed tones to web screams that it's totally,my photoshopped because the original image couldn't be found to produce a high enough quality card for this release - any truth to that if Robo know? Also curious how close the new head is to Jedi Luke new head? I think a follow up video may be in order for "Bespin Luke : Robo Focus" as he's really the only figure anyone cares about, and the questions we have deserve answers. Especially while we're stuck at home bored off our Tibana Gas Mines. Hmm, just realized that's grossly appropriate for some people (you know who you are). Anyway, if Hasbro had only bothered to change a few little things, think what am increase in sales they would have...Han if he included his pointy fiber (and throw in that dang Mynock and/or gas mask for cryin out loud, it/they can't cost that much!), Both Leia could have included the gas mask and Mynock for that matter since she screams at three thing, and Han could still make a point. Yoda should have come with a totally orange Snake like the Kenner original, and the AT AT Driver sloths have included an extra gun with the strap hanging down in Truckee took the original. These things are simple and cheap but appeal to the adult collector who had these as kids, and it wooukd make them different enough for people to buy them again or if they didn't the first time. And if they really do a 3rd wave with Boba they really REALLY need to have him in the vintage deco like the 2019 SDCC Boba that so many of us want desperately but couldn't find/afford. Keep the cardback non-foil so the SDCC people don't have a hissy that some other fans might experience happiness at owning him, I just really want that figure! Thanks for the video, and apologies for the book - getting a little stir crazy and craving conversation ( even tho I normally sub human contact.). :-)
