I got my Ghost Qui Gon this morning. Our target was releasing them this morning. I got there 30 minutes early. They were sold out within two minutes of the store opening. Luckily I got a ticket.

I went to target first thing Thursday morning, found the qui gon pop but was told that i couldn't buy it until Monday, the employee then put one aside for me with my name written on top of it. I call today because i hear that they are getting sold early.... and they sold mine that was set aside -_- .... I think target was a let down all around this weekend.

Nerd Therapy judging by your personalities, can I assume that the 2 of you are huge nerds? I mean how else do you describe your obsession with collecting Funko Pops from all of these Pop Culture phenomenons? It's ok. I'm a nerd too. I'm nerdy about Star Wars, the MCU (or just Marvel films general.), I like DC (I watch the Arrowverse shows like Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, & Legends of Tomorrow.) I want to try getting into Star Trek & I do really want to try Stranger Things. They released tickets for Star Wars Celebration Chicago 2019, & I bought my tickets first thing. My mom & I bought the 5 day oassess for $247.

my town has 2 GameStop's the first one said all sold out the second had one left but on reserve. The manager checked and one guy had bought them all. He told me he doesn't support flippers and sold it to me. Great service.

I do like the fact that my local FYE still has Predator items in stock still even after 1 one year or so. They are starting to get in FYE exclusive 6.5" Titan vinyl figures as well, which I'm excited about. All around this is one happy FYE happy customer.

Target was a disaster. I have two near me. Both stores told me on Friday that they couldn't sell the 40th anniversary figures until Monday. I checked their inventory on brickseek later that evening and one of those Targets had sold the entire case. I held out until early Monday morning and went to the one target that still had them in stock and was told they still couldn't sell them because they are collectibles and they weren't yet linked to some code. They said they'd go out Tuesday morning, but when I checked their inventory later on Monday they'd sold half the case. I'm done messing with Target. I think employees are just buying and reselling.

i know in our area they are buying them but the real issue is how Target can ask Funko for exclusives but have a complete lack of knowledge how collectible buying works.That goes for the 40th figs as well

I did the 3 for 30 deal at Hot Topic for Easter and for spending my nice tax returns. I went Warner Bros all the way with Dot Warner, and the Space Jam Bugs and Taz. Judging that they know me at this point and I have an account there I might try to find the exclusive Cruella and Ursala soon. And I say soon liberally because my little podunk town does not really have a huge pop following I can sit on these things longer than most.Happy Hunting,Bill M

love you two, congrats on the new edition to the family by the way. i just purchased the six star wars movies in steel box cases they were twelve bucks or so a piece a real good deal and the first movie sold out and now it's over twenty to get the same movie new a week later. so I bought the six of them and one used hoping but not caring if they go up. i really wanted the star wars movies to rewatch since it's from when I was a kid in seventies and saw the first one and loved it and even had the album of it when I was young. thx for making all the videos you do and i wish you both the best of the best. have a great day.

It’s easiest to go to your local comic shop. They tend to have good exclusives but they are quite expensive. Also try forbidden planet. There’s one in London and I once found a chase Smaug there. They only problem is that the sticker the exclusives have are Underground toys exclusive and not Hot Topic and Gamestop

In Australia it is really hard to find many rare or exclusive pops, there is like only one shop you can get them from and they normally only get 1 or 2 of each exclusive. I was very surprised and lucky to get myself a Han Solo exclusive which I was very happy about

Target did us all dirty with the Qui Gon. Went like you guys, was told the Monday date, Friday comes around and every single target in San Diego area released them. Great vid guys! i lucked out w Hooded Luke at Gamestop. Even better that they had BOGO50. Picked up those exclusive Tekken Pops (wow!) and pre-ordered the BB exclusive King (Tekken) The best surprise was not being aware that SW Rebels had 3 Walmart exclusives (Inquisitors), and all were in stock. Now if Walgreens would stock that Juggernaut I'd be content.

Yea I called the 3 Targets near me about Qui Gon the first 2 were like I have no idea what your talking about lol. But lucky for me the 3rd was like yea we aren't open on the 16th so it'll be on shelf Monday. So Ill def be there tmrw Monday but some did put them out early, be SUPERRRR pissed if this one did. Netflix won't let Hot Topic apply any sales discounts to Stranger Things merch. So none of the store sales will work on ANYTHING stranger things, including the pops. The only discount you can get is if you have, like, Hot Topics guest list rewards. It's really frustrating but it's not Hot Topic's fault... 😩 It's pretty dumb

I agree with the Target situation. I spoke to a manager at my local target and they were holding then until Monday. Fingers crossed. The gamestop one I got. they said they only got two. I checked with a couple other ones and they also only got two.

Someone that works at target told me it wasn't corporate target's fault that they messed up the qui gon release.... That it was the collector's faults for "bullying" target into selling them early lol. I guess bullying is to blame for target constantly messing up the release of their con exclusives. In this past year I have definitely noticed an increase in pop hunters in my area and also the employees being more savvy about certain pops being very rare and I do feel they save them for themselves and their friends sometimes. I remember a gamestop manager showing me a picture of his collection and he had all the gold pops from a couple of black Fridays ago. I also had a target employee tell me he bought like 4 of the Zur En Arrh Batmans. And on the 13th a gamestop employee was telling me how he was annoyed that a pop shipment that was supposed to have a chase in it didn't because he had planned to buy it... Kinda crazy how they don't even care about telling customers this stuff. Last NYCC we had to talk to a manager because one of the B&N employees told us that they did have hawkgirls but that they were all reserved by the employees... Crazy.

Being in Canada, I set my sights on trying everything possible to get Qui Gon, and wow did Target botch that whole thing.. BUT I got lucky and picked up Hooded Luke at my local Gamestop because that's the only store we have for exclusives where I live. I think Funko needs to take targets exclusives away and give it to someone who will put effort into it. Also I think the US only stores like Target and Walgreens should have a counterpart in other countries to get those. We have Hot Topic in Canada but for me at least the closest one is roughly 13 hours drive away lol. Toys R us Canada didn't even have Thrawn on the website that I could find, same for Walmart Canada and Rey.. It was a bad weekend for a Star Wars addict.

Hey, thanks to your videos I've learnt alot about pops and started my own collection...but I'm from the uk and it's a bit weird here, so pops are only really sold in two shops (stores) HMV and the comic megastore Forbidden Planet. We don't have hot topic, or wallmart or really any of the stores you guys go too, yet we still get all the same exclusives there just called an underground toys exclusive which is weird right? also after a while pops that can be found in marvel collector core or any other collective box are sold separately in forbidden planet which makes you wonder why even bother paying for he box when it'll just be in store a few months later

This whole thing was handled so incredibly bad. I live in a small town 50 miles south of Phoenix, so I had to drive up there (taking half day from work) to get what I wanted. All I wanted was Thrawn, both figures available at Hot Topic, and Leia from Box Lunch, but if I found the others I would get them. First TRU was a bust. Hot Topic was great as always. Box lunch no issue there. (probably because they are Hot Topic owned) and I ended up with a Thrawn from a TRU on the other side of town that got 5 of them. FYE = zilch. GameStop = same. Don't even get me started on Walmart stores around here. With a big release like this, there needs to be better distribution of these things and they ALL need to be available on release day.

Lot of misinformation on the Qui Gon. It wasn't Target that changed the street date, it was Funko. I have a friend the works at Target and they received notices that the pop was street dated in the system as requested by Funko. Then after the negative out cry from people, myself included, they where told that they could sell them before the 16th "at the store managements discretion".

Mark & Ashley, same thing happened to me. Was at my Target on 13th & held one in my hand. Sales Associate scanned it & told me about sell date. Couldn't get it. Apparently all Stranger Things merchandise is barred from being apart of sales or promotions at Hot Topic because of Netflix. Talked to some of the employees in my local HT and they said that it was out of their control and was decided by Netflix.

I live in Orlando. I asked FYE on thursday about their exclusive pop and he said that they had a table at the celebration and whatever was left would then come to stores. Also our target has nothing.

That R5's condition is NOTHING compared to what I has seen at a Gamestop near me. They had 2 Luke's, Obi's, and Leia's. The bubbles were smashed to she point is was damaging the figure itself, the card was bent and ripped up, and looked like it had been removed the blister and then re-attached with a hot glue gun. I was shocked and kinda bothered that a semi big chain like this would even think about selling something that beat up for a price point of $23 let alone selling it at all.

Stranger things is allowed any discounts at hot topic. It was a ban placed by Netflix so they don't get any discounts what so ever. I work at a hot topic and believe me I'm bummed about it too.
