In the spirit of your Starwarsified toolbox.. how about starwarsifying some TOOLS! The challenge of course will be to keep them USABLE as you do it.. but perhaps you can sprinkle a few purely-prop tools in there as well. Thinking along the lines of the old "Tardis Toolkit" ideas, it might be fun to see a starwarsedup drill, electric screwdriver, multi-tester, and of course.. Hot Glue gun!

The way I would have fixed the problem with the plexi plate would be to just glue new greeblies on the proper side, unless this would cause clearance problems underneath.
