Watching this makes me emotional... This was my brother's last Star Wars movie he watched before he passed away. I remember we watched it in the movie theater with him and my whole family, he had his Darth Vader helmet with his red light saber all the way through the whole movie. For me this brings so much memories of him. Rest in peace Robert may the force be with you! Love you.

I was 4 and a half at the time and I vividly remember seeing this movie in the theater that same month. It was the first time I had seen and memorized a theater experience and I’ll never forget it. The sheer amount of clapping and cheers and moments in the crowd and just the whole experience really turned me into a Star Wars fan even at such an early time in my life.

Say what you want about ROTS but this was the best prequel and at least it was watchable out of 1 2 and 3. It's a shame George didn't start the prequels with this kind of movie.
@nagudelomusic7 жыл бұрын
True that. I just wish George Lucas was a bit more focused and grounded-to-earth when making Eps. I and II. This would have made the prequel trilogy right on par with the classic one. Watching again the EP-1 documentaries, I got the impression that George was flying all over his ego and self-confidence, and in the end this attitude had disastrous consequences.

ehhhh... he had a clever plot hole plan, jar jar was supposed to be the major phantam menace, he was the plot point that was balancing everything and he was supposed to be the one that anakin killed at the beginning of revenge of the sithe in a clever plot point that would lead to anakins to fall to hte dark side etc with jar jar actually a agent not just serving the emperor but simultaniously trying to subvert and take primary influence over anakin and lead him to serve him before the emperor as well as gaining control over the new empire by means of a seperatist formation to claim the senate one world seat at a time until he had all the senates member worlds

There’s actually a reason for this and it has nothing to do with the films. The Ziegfeld theatre closed permanently shortly before TFA. There was public outcry for them to wait until after Star Wars because of the history of premieres at the Ziegfeld. Tickets went on sale before the Ziegfeld changed their position and agreed to do a special Star Wars premiere weekend just for the film. It was too late by then and most of the Ziegfeld hardcore fans had tickets and moved the Superfan celebration to amc Lincoln center.

+kar muts For the prequels it absolutely was. Unlike Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones there are some redeemable qualities in ROTS. I just wish Lucas had put this much effort into the first two. Just look at the opening crawl alone- totally different tone to the fucking space taxes in the Phantom Menace.
@carljuvy8 жыл бұрын
+Malcolm Reynolds I agree with some of what you said. Lucas should've put more effort, and most importantly hired someone to do his writing instead of him doing it. But I still think Episode 3 is a great movie. The battle's were honestly eye catching, the first scene looked like Star Wars that epic space battle. The CGI was also better, it's not the greatest but it's improved. Dialogue, well... some of it is improved but it's still kind of lacking. But this Episode had a lot of emotional scenes, it was a very dark Star Wars movie. "You were the Chosen one" was very emotional, the scene where Anakin and Padme are just looking out of their windows is probably the best scene in the entirety of the Prequel Trilogy. Yeah, speaking for John Williams, he was on his A+ game. My opinion on this movie? It's tied with Empire.

Bare with me here... Now.. What if we had the longest wait in the world between 2 & 3 because the 2008 Clone Wars was written first after AotC, and Episode III wasn't in the works until near the end of season 6, which by then this would've come out shortly after season 7 (because of how much longer it takes to actually shoot a live-action movie), how much more hyped this movie could've been, much more anticipated than Infinity War or Endgame which is unimaginable... and how much harder it would've hit everyone in the feels when watching this after Season 7, seeing how it would've fallen in sync with the movie, hearing the dialogue from RotS in TCW FIRST and people wonder wtf is going on... then they go see RotS, and get smacked with the most overwhelming emotions one could get Imagine if we got that instead of the sequels... although its still just as easy to ignore the sequels and be happy we got this film & series when we did.

I love episode 3 , but I am getting bored of this comparison shit . They are episodes , parts of one big story . It's just my opinion , but I personally feel not one starcwars movie alone is worth 5 stars ....but integrated together to make up the whole story , deffenetly. You can say , episode 3 is great episodes 1 and 2 poor but hour totally missing the point . When you watch any stand alone movie , there's a build up , a beginning a middle and an end and that's basically what it is with the prequels . By making these shitty lists where in order of hour favourites it's episode 5, then 3 , then 6 etc ; is just frustrating to see ppl do again and again . No one reads a book and then the fan base bitches over which chapters are the best . Sure , I can say I love the prequel period end of the time line the most , but I love the whole damn story 1-6 . I can't say I love episode 3 but not 1 and 2 , because those 2 contribute massively to events that play out in 3 !!!
