It really symbolizes the death of anakin as we knew him in the prequels and even the music here is the last few notes that sound like the prequels music before (a form of) the imperial march finally takes over and almost figuratively seals anakin within his new fate as well as obviously physically within his suit. I still love the emotion this scene conveys with the music and shot of Vader walking. The use of the force theme gives a bit of hope that anakin is still in there, or it could be a sign that makes us remember anakin as his memory is replaced by Vader’s imposing silhouette, and as the music changes to a more tragic part, symbolizes his death, and full rebirth as the Sith Lord. This is meant to be the conclusion to a trilogy. The series would be over, only to be brought back after ten years. The story is finally over, but this was not supposed to happen. This was the bad ending of the Star Wars films. The heroes have lost, and that is the end for the prequels.

@@mairon154 Not even close. Vader was 20% weaker in the force than Sidious. Full potential Anakin could crush Palpatine in seconds. He would be the most powerful creature in the galaxy, ever. Anakin lost a big chunk of his potential when he got his limbs cut off and burned, he just reached the potential that was left in him as Vader (which was still huge, but much lower than Anakins full potential actually was).

In attack of the clones(during the opening battle of geonosis that kicked off the clone wars) you see count dooku being handed the death star plans(it was originally a separatist super weapon). During the war the separatists actually began construction of it and once the war ended the sith and their new order took control of the death star as the confederate military and government ceased to exist.

Honestly the worst mistake that happened with Star Wars was hating on the prequels, because that led to all of the dumb stuff Ryan Johnson and JJ made for the sequels. If George stayed in charge, I know the sequels could have been better and that we would have the perfect saga of films, and this music perfectly describes the fall of George Lucas’ creation. And to the sequel fans, I am not sorry.
