Also I would be interrested how you would paint Leya today with your skills that improved over the years and with options like contrast paints… That is noticeable with the Legion miniatures but I personally think the Imperial Assault Leya is more iconic in look and style.

Great as always! I have noticed that you tend to blend in a bit of druchii violet in a lot of your washes. May I ask why you like to do so? And what would you recommend using it for? :D

Thank you Michael! I guess it depends on the miniature but for Leia I just wanted to push to tone away from the brown-is look towards something a bit cleaner looking, and purple just seemed right :)

Really enjoy your videos! I am fairly new to painting minis and have a question. When you are doing the shading, is that water that you began with, or is that the Nuln Oil? Also, do you wipe off some of the shade if it seems to be too heavy?

+HabitualJoker Thank you! I used Lahmian Medium to thin the Nuln Oil, and yes it's a good idea to soak up any excess shade or shade that's settling where you don't want it :)

Hi it's me again. :) Can I ask how do you keep your brush's point that sharp? How do you clean your brushes? I take care to apply paint only the tip of the brush but they lose their tip quite fast. :(

Hi Istvan! I don't do anything special to be honest - just clean them regularly in water and I sometimes use a proper brush cleaner after a session too. :)

Ever consider using a wet palette? That seemed like a lot of paint for such a little amount of skin. A wet palette would preserve it for the next time you need that flesh tone.

Regarding the Testors spray lacquer: You call it a matte varnish, but I can't find one with a matte finish. All of the ones I can find have a glossy finish. Am I not looking in the right places? Thanks for your amazing work.

Sorastro i love watching you paint, so far I have just started on my troopers and making my way forward. You got me into painting with this series :) My only recommendation is consider doing some good royalty free music in the background? The random sound effects make me want to mute the videos sometimes or suffer through it just to hear your comments. You might check out incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/ I use them for my channel.

Thanks for the suggestion Vaelek! I actually prefer to compose my own music rather than use generic free stuff. I guess whatever style of music I write it won't suit everyone's taste; most of my videos now have proper user-submitted subtitles however so you could always mute the soundtrack and just read the subtitles instead :)
