best part is when he says "the terrorists have already won, they want to instill a sense of fear in panic in people" brilliant stuff Colin.

Couple of years ago I traveled to the UK, France and Spain...it was fantastic. Here I am, a foreigner in another country and no one is busting my balls. When I got back to the US the TSA busted my balls for 15 minutes about where I had been and how long had I been gone and searched through all my bags. That's what you really want after an 11 hour flight.

Only good thing about the UK, you go through the metal detector, you beep then you get patted down. No beep no frisk

Funfact: People "forget" things after years past. This can be another 20 maybe 50 but still will happen. Recorded events are left recorded but the emotional attachment to these events are lost, in the case of people searching through old records.

There is a great documentary about this called "Please Remove your Shoes" that I think is still on Netflix. The TSA was created as part of DHS and the same people who let 9/11 happen were put in charge of the TSA and they're excuse was "we didn't know."

I recall going to Canada one year for Christmas so we had presents and luggage and whatnot and going into Canada customs they had bomb dogs and went through all our things and did a really decent job of making sure we were safe. Coming back to the USA we gave them our passports he checked them and said, "Welcome Home."

I agree with Colin around 20% of the time, this is not one of those times. There are a lot of people who have pointless jobs, giving people money just helps move the money around; keeps the wheels of capitalism turning. It heals the economy and comes back around in the end. However, I always find him entertaining to listen to.
@yuriyanu269412 жыл бұрын
Great stuff Colin! Another important point is that we, as taxpayers, finance this bullshit. If the airports want security, they should pay for it. This way, the consumer can speak with their wallet and avoid onerous airlines, thereby providing an incentive for better policy. So long as the TSA is funded by taxes, boycotts will only hurt the airlines themselves. The TSA will continue to receive public funds regardless.
@wonderbread14112 жыл бұрын
So when talking about the way security is after compared to before 9/11 what phrases would you like to hear people use? Its just used as a frame of reference just like when people say pre and post civil war.
