I think if this story instead was a Disney show and not a game, it would have still been pretty good. Disney has done good, only with stories that have no main Star Wars characters as a focal point, and tie into the main story. Once a largely loved character, or the main story line of the franchise get into a Disney story, then they sh!t the bed before filming even starts.

You do know that Fallout: Tactics was multiplayer right? Look, point is that none of those games (excluding fallout because you mentioned a franchise not one particular game, but we all know you mean 76) were COMPLETELY RUINED by multiplayer. Fallout 76 was EXCLUSIVELY multiplayer, and ruined itself not because it was a multiplayer driven experience, but because it was mishandled. You can have an opinion on how bad or good those games were, but the side experience didn't ruin those games. Especially so for mass effect 3 and DA3, both of which were phenomenally made games, and had hours upon hours of single player focused content. Mass Effect 3's multiplayer was made by BioWare Montreal as far as I know. None of Edmonton's manpower went into making that. They didn't even share budgets. The SP was struggling anyway. They used some of the MP maps Montreal made for the SP because they didn't have time to make extra maps themselves. That's not to say that EA shouldn't have given them more time to develop ME3, because they should have.

Some games, like Mass Effect 3 co-op, are a sort of diamond in the rough, adding multiplayer really made something unique and special. But if you added multiplayer to every single player title you will probably get more trash than anything; Dragon Age co-op was sort of meh, even though it should have been great coming from the same developer as ME3. If Respawn added a sort of For Honor inspired multiplayer I could see it working well with the Dark Souls style combat, but there will always be that constant fear from the community that devs will take the monitization too far.

@@DrConfed He never clarified that and Joe doesnt play Dark Souls, so that mechanic would be a odd reference for him. I dont think that mechanic would work in this game anyway, just like Sekiro. Like Sekiro, Jedi Fallen Order is a contained story with a main character. Would invading/ co-op players all be other versions of Cal? Sure, they could be fallen Jedi, but we've that would screw Star Wars cannon. Also mechanically how would it work? Dark Souls and Bloodborne you often fought larger enemies, where the base combat was to get behind them. In Co-op a player could draw aggro and another go for the back or sides, it worked. Jedi fallen and Sekiro are more designed for face to face single combat, parry, deflect, exact dodge or jump that is how the enemy AI is programmed to behave as well. With a co-op, players would use that same draw aggro and get behind, it would break these games. That is my humble opinion.

I had the same thing happen to me. If you look closely, he was doing the double-jump flip animation since the slide was glitching and it considered the player to be falling when you need to jump. Joe got across by jumping earlier than it seemed he should.

@Shawn Watterson I've even voiced concerns about microtransactions. I think most people are firmly against them, except those who seem happy to pay, just for the privilege of paying extra. This is a very real business model, that's also making its way to TV, film etc. Across the entertainment industry we're all paying more for less. It is showing the contempt it has for its customers. We definitely need to speak up, before it gets even worse.

I found that the game was challenging, but not way too much. The final boss was quite a lot harder than others and I felt very accomplished after beating her.
