The only one I can name off the top of my head that’s a main title is _Halo Infinite_ and Destiny. But every CoD, GTA, Fallout et cetra have gotten that rating is an M rating.

My biggest complaint besides a challenge mode similar to the Arkham games is once again it did non White dark side users dirty. Right before she died Second Sister just had to denounce the Sith and the Darkside. Disney seems to have some mandate to make 1 Black or Brown darkside user always switch sides.

I'm not a red-head myself, but I like that Cal is. Male red-heads are a genuinely underrepresented group in fiction. And rarely are they the heroes, even when they do appear. Plus, Cameron does a great job. He's far more likeable than most of the characters that Disney has created. He behaves like a *Jedi* -- not a clown. I like his level-headed, humble personality.

I do the same thing. I rarely ever make a character look like myself. I rather be more creative than that or try and adapt a character that I like. They even change film awards to have more diversity even if that particular film does not require it. Not all countries had other races in their country at certain eras and even nowadays. So if one was to make a historical film, you are not going to want to shoehorn people in simply for diversity. Or you might not want to drop a few great actors or actresses to replace them with ones that fit a criteria created by some prats on an awards show. I mean there is nothing wrong with diverse characters but simply adding them in just to look good seems superficial and the writing might not be as good because you are not putting your heart into it. You are already made by the executives to cut out important scenes and turn your project into a soulless creature.

I currently play wow. My main is a female blood elf who is white. Why? Because I made her during BC (when white was the only skin tone they had) and made her as a representation of a female cat I had at the time--character's hair is black (I'm a redhead). This cat was a tuxie (white belly, black back). I was making this character after my cat because I'm a dork for my cats XD Would I have made the character black if I had made her during Shadowlands? Possibly...but, also, the cat died before Shadowlands came out. The point is I don't make characters to look like me either. The closest I got has looking like my cat at the time XD

I sometimes wonder if these people do things like this consciously, or if they create false memory syndrome for themselves. I need to look deeper into it, but I've read about a study where they would get an older brother or relative to tell the experimental subject about the time they got lost in the mall as a kid. Now, this event never happened, but invariably, the experimenters would get the subject to not just remember getting lost in the mall, but to start adding details to the story. In this woman's case, did she decide one day, three years later, to lie for clout? Or has she been told a story about how horrible and racist these game devs were, and over the course of years, constructed a memory of events that is a distortion at worst and a fabrication at best? Honestly not sure which would be worse. It feels like the latter would be more plausible; because it's not like there's much clout to be had.

It's right after Merrin saves you from getting crushed by a rock. The last two shots are over Malicos's shoulder and then of his front. The lighting is very different for the two. As if a bright spotlight appeared out of nowhere. Normally this would be masked by it not being shots of the same person.

As much as she prattles on about "fighting for representation", it's more likely she was just salty that her position didn't afford her more creative input. And sure, maybe there's an argument to be made there about the value of input from everybody on a game development team, but it's not like she couldn't just work her way towards a position that would allow her more direct control of a project. I think they chose Cameron based on his performance and same with cere and trilla because they had great performance. what i think happened with her is they cast cameron as cal and she did not like the casting opposed it and they told her no and shot her down and she is still better about it. the fact they cast another main character as a black woman kind of shoots down what she is saying. The other thing is disney may have said the main character cannot be a woman because we want all focus on ray and were trying to avoid captain marvel 2.0 where people compared it to the superior alita battle angel. so they told them make the character a man and not a woman to avoid conflict with mary sue. I personally think it was disney making that call and they shot her down because disney said so. She is aiming it at respawn because if she aims it at disney they will shut her down harder than their little monorail accidents and respawn doesnt have lawyers that literally scare the shit out of the entire entertainment lawyer scene.

is the character good? Is the character developed? What are their beliefs, morals, goals and views? What is their backstory? These and others are what matters more then the race and sex of a character 99.9 percent of the time. Also if your excuse for not connecting to a char not being the race or sex you want I think that shows your own racism, sexism or at least how shallow you are as a person. If your a white person advocating for a char to be a certain race in the name of x minorities in the idea they would connect to or enjoy the char more if they were said race just stop. Your not them and you should not speak for them period. Honestly even if your a part of said minority group you should not try to speak for the entire group. That is just egotistical and seems insulting to others overall.

How incredibly stupid it would be to recast this with someone of a different race? Unlike most video games, the lead isn't voiced by some random voice actor and cast in the likeness of some random model. He's literally voiced and modeled after an established actor, one who would certainly want to reprise the role in live action (if Favreau and Filoni haven't already enlisted his services already for the next season of Mando or for Kenobi).

I felt in the context of the story and EA development, the game was appropriately long. It was created despite EA questioning the very existance of single player games, as proof that single player games could and would do well if properly made. I saw Jedi Fallen Order as a test run or base for what i hope will be one of the greatest games ever. Now that they have a great engine and strong base for what the game can be, my guess is that the sequel will be much longer, more developed and will expand on every mechanic. Im really, really looking forward to the sequel. It really has the potential to be a fantastic game

I'm Italian and we (and other southern Europeans - Greeks, Spaniards, etc.) have oilier skin than northern Europeans. It's basically a continuum - the further south you go, the oilier the skin (more sebaceous glands). It's an evolutionary adaptation to provide protection from the effects of the sun.

Okay, just for the fun of it, here's a breakdown of the major characters in Fallen Order: Cal Kestis, a white boy Cere Junda, a black woman Greez, an alien midget Jaro Tapal, a purple alien man Second Sister, a black woman Ninth Sister, a yellow alien monster woman Eno Cordova, an old italian man already dead when the plot starts Merrin, an alien but she looks like a white girl so we'll count her Malicos, an old and evil white man Saw Gerrera, a black man That leaves us with 4 white characters of which 1 is dead and 1 is evil, 3 black characters of which 1 is evil, and 3 alien characters of which 1 is evil. There's also various ethnically diverse human Rebels including some with significant speaking roles, and of course the alien Prauf, if you want to be less charitable than I already am. Jedi Fallen Order is incredibly diverse. Unusually so for most media, not just Star Wars media.

I think the "oily skin" thing is more indicative of the area that people originated from (which happens to tie in with race as well). I'm part Armenian and it's hot and pretty dry in Armenia (as is in most of Middle East) so people there have slightly darker, oily skin. While working at an office, I occasionally take a wet tissue and wipe my forehead and nose and end up with a pretty yellow tissue from all the oil I've wiped off. I wash my face every morning (and evening, and throughout the afternoon if I need to), so it's not like I have a dirty face, it's just oily. The upside is that I don't suffer from dry skin conditions.

I was watching a video about the comic that tells the story of padawan Cere, she had a old white man as a master and he was teaching her about inpacience. I was expecting her to prove she was right all along and him to die. That didn't happened, she learnt the fricking lesson and he survived, great story overall.

1. I love The Mandalorian and the Book of Boba Fett. 2. The sequel trilogy can die alone in hell. 3. I, a woman, connected with Cal. I love Cal. He's a sweet kid just trying to make his way in the universe and his story of growth and acceptance of his past is something that really resonated with me (and I'm sure many others). I didn't really like Trilla (she felt generic bad guy) nor did I really like Cere (she just kinda felt there) and I felt that storywise there wasn't much to go on for Cal to trust her beyond the plot needs him to trust her. Merrin was a delight. I love her.

I will say that it was probably a good move to make the lead of Jedi Fallen Order a human as it does make it easier to connect with the character. Regardless of race or gender, and in Star Wars race is more of a species thing, I just wish the people paid to write these stories would put more thought into what opportunities does making a character this or that create, both big and small. The example I typically think of for this is the 13th Doctor from Doctor Who. They switched the character's gender and did nothing with it. They could have made a joke or commentary about some of the styles of clothing or underwear women wear the first time the doctor was suiting up. The writers could have had her use a male companion to act as an intermediary when she traveled to the past and had her front in center, taking charge when in the future to show humanity's progression toward equality. And if you wanted to go there, you could have the Doctor being a bit confused by having her attracted to men, when for over a thousand years, until the timeless child retcon, the Doctor had been a man who seemed to be attracted to women. Every choice as a creator has different paths that open up, the good creators lead you down those paths and they do so because they think of who the character is as a person, not a check box.

I think they wanted to play it safe as with a human there's a lot you can just skip over and assume your audience understands as they are human. With an alien, to really make it feel special, they would need to drop in little cultural elements to help make that alien not feel like a human in cosplay.

I loved this game. It was super challenging. I liked ALL Of the characters, especially the Jedi cut off from the force. What a cool concept. And when the big V shows up? Chills. She tells Cal to just run. You can't win against him! Such a cool moment.

Can we give the devs that made this game Finn and see what amazing story / game they would come up with? Biggest waste of the trilogy. This main character (and supporting characters) worked because they were well written and had a tough journey. That's all we want. Pick a hero that makes sense, not one based on questionable focus groups with agendas. I don't want to hear from some low tier dev that they are butt hurt because their small contribution didn't get them their dream job. Just move to a role that pays more and stop whining about representation. If the main character is GOOD, then, in theory, you ARE represented. If you can't identify with the protagonist, then maybe you are more like the antagonist.
