@@M50A1 Because it’s been done to death. Anytime we get an “Imperial” storyline, it ALWAYS turns into a join the Rebellion “redemption arc”. Even at the Galactic Starcruiser, a hotel that was specifically for LARPing in a “choose your own adventure” storyline would shoehorn people who attempted to assist or participate with the First Order got forced into helping the Resistance (as Jenny Nicholson pointed out in her 4 hour video breakdown on the place). It’s like Disney/LucasFilm has no balls to do a “Bad Guy” storyline with Star Wars at all. And you can’t really use the “muh endorsing fascism” argument with the Empire, considering that 40k fans are all about the Imperium of Man: And the shit the Imperium does makes the Empire and Papa Palpatine seem tame in comparison

You gotta love the consideration of keeping veteran clones to be higher ranks in the Empire. Born for war, trained from birth, prepared to die fighting. They were definitely the best the Empire had during their early days before the clones eventually died to their rapid aging. Only if they stopped aging by the adult stage, the Empire would've kept that kind of force for a few more decades.

This is why I would much prefer a Stormtrooper show or game over a Clone one. We've seen enough of the Clones and although they if course developed different personalities, Stormtroopers being recruits would have vastly more diversity of backgrounds and personalities. And would be a lot more relatable to us.

Only for Iden to turn traitor not even 2 missions in and join the rebellion. So we always end up with incompetent stormtroopers cus "classic badguy fodder" and competent clone troopers cus "good guys with indvidualism". Unless its imperial clones, then they suddenly too become incompetent

But yeah a “Band of Brothers” type of show from the Empires perspective would be pretty cool. It would kinda be like the clones from TCW series but with people with actual backgrounds and not just people raised with virtually the same background. I’m pretty tired of seeing Stormtroopers die en masse during combat. I know in R1 they’re up against the Rebel’s best but in shows like Mando and Rebels they’re just jokes. I especially hate Mando for “canonizing” the bad aim joke. Just makes them so underwhelming. Also I think I understand your perspective on the “Rebel’s being terrorists”. It’s from the Imperials point of view thinking all the installations of theirs are being hit and their comrades being targeted and killed is the result of “terrorism”. At least that’s how I see it. I still prefer having the Imperials refer to the Rebels as, well, Rebels. Calling the good guys terrorists all the time seems like it would send the wrong message. Especially to kids. But for real, sometimes good people fight for the wrong cause. Like some of the Stormtroopers in the video. Their view on screen would certainly be really cool. But Disney would probably screw it up and make them a bunch of irredeemable puppy-kickers TL;DR: Both factions are cool and getting multiple perspectives would be awesome!

@@ramblinnernd5905 Ok I didn't want to start an argument about terrorists, but now I will. Rebels hide behind civilians->empire kills civilians for supporting rebels->rebels blame empire. Is it really the empire which starts the cycle? No. Rebels involve civilians in warfare, that's terroristical way of fighting. Rebels tend to blow up stuff. Slave station, a cruiser that's transporting some huge ass mineral, whatever else to sabotage the empire and it does not end with war infrastructure at all. Rebels encourage terrorism like manufactoring bad equipment that overheats and leads to deaths, but it's not the limit of it. What does empire do? Empire responds to all those threats so civilians suffer, because rebels involved them. If you could argue rebels are terrorists or not, this isn't even a debate they're war criminals

Yap alert. I can’t help but sympathize with the stormtroopers especially for the rookies. They’re always concerned with procedures and sound so… I don’t know, uncertain with their odds I guess. I also like how respectful they sound when they speak to one another here. Mostly. I’m gonna take flak for this but I like stormtroopers better than clones (still cool tho), bad aim jokes aside. They all seem like individuals with millions of different backgrounds and motivations. People say they’re brainwashed fanatics but they really don’t seem that way. They vary. Good people fight for the wrong side. Always happens. Still the coolest looking bad guys in cinema.
