Agreed, Cal's story is by far the best thing Disney has done with the license. The live action appearance is inevitable, and I hope they get it right!

glad to see this game get the BPG treatment. I have been on the fence multiple times seeing it go on sale. The PC optimization problems I've heard about always keep me from pulling the trigger because, while I don't have a 'weak' PC per se, it's definitely not top of the line and I enjoy a nice experience with cinematic games such as these.

It generally ran okay, sort of, but it was never close to as solid as I'd expect from a triple-A title which released more than a year ago. I'd check some videos of how it runs for people with a similar set up to get an idea of whether it's worth it. If all looks good, I say dive right in - it's immediately become one of my favourite sequels.

FUNFACT: So, you know how on PC people occasionally make mods to replace player characters, for fun? Apparently, the actor/model of Cal didn’t know this. It sucks it runs so poorly (not sure if that's the case on console too) as it's a gorgeous looking game. The texture work in the more natural environments like Koboh and Jedha in particular is top class.

@@BenPlaysGames Even at launch technical issues were incredibly minor. I have no idea how it ended up being so unoptimised for PC, almost like they forgot it was releasing on there until last minute. Yep, very pretty game, and such a great game for photo mode too. Got some gorgeous shots haha.

@@BenPlaysGames I'm strongly of the opinion that either having an Xbox and a PC or an Xbox and a Switch is the way to go in this generation of gaming, because certain multiplatform games get a raw deal on PC like Jedi: Survivor whilst run nigh-perfectly on an Xbox, and although Xbox slightly has an edge over its competitor despite botched upper management, the Switch has some very strong titles like the "Wild" era of Zelda games and a very snazzy remaster of Metroid Prime. Basically, when some things work on certain platforms and others don't, and certain platforms have benefits the others don't, pick your poison. That's my message for people.

I am with you all the way, It was a highly enjoyable game which I 100%. It was very satisfying clearing the map and collecting all those lil extras :) And That 3 vs 1 lightsaber battle was a very fun memorable moment, just as SPAWN Ogdo Bogdo was such a high concentrating point of "master the combat here. Master the environment. Master the skills" where that lil frog stares at you and menacingly creates a force tear right next to it 0=o I also was very lucky with performance as I only had one crash simple crash and my settings were pretty high (even though no Ray TRace because AMD doesn't play well with that in most cases)

Spawn of Ogdo is such a brutal fight at first as he's so agro, but once you realise jumping above or behind him works well, it becomes somewhat easier. The pair of Ogdos on the other hand... If it makes you feel any better too, the ray tracing I reckon is borked no matter what make your graphics card is. I've an Nvidia card (4070) and even though the frame rate looked good, the stutter was absolutely terrible.

I commented this to boost engagement. I had similar feelings on the game. It was in my opinion an amazing game, whose perfect experience was constantly being marred by stutters. I wasnt lucky enough to have frame gen like you either. Beautiful gameplay and fluid motion, that would randomly stutter and then i died, it was at times hard to get into the rythm too. I notice the stutters didnt happen during boss battles at least

Cheers dude! It was mostly the big outdoor areas where I particularly noticed it and one I had it became so annoying as I couldn't stop thinking about it. It's so disappointing, as the rest of it is marvellous.

I put off playing this game because my PC at the time was built in 2018 and figured it couldn't run it. I just recently built a brand new PC and played through the game. Love the game, very fun. But yeah, even with my 4080 and modern specs I played without ray tracing and still got frame drops, bugged cutscenes, and flashing textures. Not as bad as you got it seems, but the fact that i had any issues is crazy considering my specs. Who knows how bad it would have been on my old PC

I had only one problem, it was annoying but not gamebreaking, basically, I play on my gaming laptop, which has resolution of 1920x1200, which streched UI, but if I chose 1920x1080, then everything was streched, except UI

I also initially thought fallen order was heavily inspired by sekiro, but sekiro came out only 8 months prior. Considering the development timelines of AAA gaming, it doesn't add up.

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but Survivor made me FEEL like a huge Star Wars fan. For whatever reason, I chose Jedi Master for my first playthrough difficulty and man, did I suffer. I'll admit, I turned it down to Knight on two main quest occassions, and 3 times during Force Tears. So I'm not sure how I feel about that. This game was incredible, the Lightsaber customisation alone is masterful design and fanfare.

I played on Knight the first time as I remembered Fallen Order being tricky at times, but I should have started on Master as it wasn't very taxing 90% of the time. I didn't hate that though, as the game's vibe is very much action-platformer, so it not being mega hard I think suited that. I then did just the story on Master and again found it be a relative breeze. However, I was of course well-versed in how to play the game at that point, so it's hard to judge how much I would have struggled if I'd have chosen it for my first time through. The double Ogdo fight, though. Man, even on Knight that was an absolute nightmare.

@@BenPlaysGames I didn't really ever use my normal block parrying until the very last fight, so I had a rough time. I don't play Soulslike games ever, so I found almost everything really brutal. The first skill check was the Mogu and they never really got less brutal. Even with a fully kitted out Cal, I dredded the Mogu due to how insanely quickly he can rinse you. I popped it on Knight for the double Rancor and was quite upset to see that on Knight they bloody take turns, ugh. And I'm saddened to admit that I also lowered it for the special guest fight (was beating my head against the last phase for an actual hour or more, but stupid good at every previous phase) And then again on Knight for the final fight, no spoilers, but that Phase 2 was just insane, phase 1 was a piece of cake though. I saw double Ogdo and at this point was pretty set on 100%, so just went "nope", put it on Padawan and destroyed those idiots to cleanse my pallete 😅

I remember i played it when it came out last year. It played alright on my pc, i never had any major issues(I think i just got the bounty hunter glitch). Just some graphical glitches. Overall i really enjoyed the game. It was the best case senario for a sequel to Fallen Order. More of everything. More lightsaber styles, more customization, and more planets to explore. You get to keep everything from the old game and you just get more abilities on top of it. There are so many i dont know if you can use them all in one playthrough. The only downside is the game performance. Which i think is due to it running on unreal engine 5. I dont think the game is optimized best to run in that engine and espcically not on the hardware its ment to be experienced on

Agreed mate, as a massive fan of platformers especially, the move towards it being more acrobatic more consistently really worked for me, and in general it's better than the original in nearly every regard. Only thing I'd probably give to Fallen Order is story, but it's not as if Survivor's is bad by any means. I just really liked the whole being hunted by the inquisitors focus the first game had.
