Cuz Luke started embracing dark usages of the force but without being tempted to succumb entirely. Sort of like how Mace Windu invented Vaapad, which is allowing anger and hatred to flow through you while fighting to make you more effective. This is a really late comment *but*, in an interview about return of the jedi roughly 30 years ago, Lucas stated that Luke didn’t force choke the pigman thingies but he mind-tricked them to think that they were being force choked. Ironocy this is exactly how I feel. The movie was all over. Improper use of Luke, improper use of Yoda, improper use of who Snoke is/was. There were so many opportunities here, and the director did not use one of them. I’m ok with Rey storyline, but not how they just killed snoke and how they used Luke. Basically she didn’t even have to visit him. She still will need to learn on her own. Luke basically just helped them escape, and that was all he contributed. This was by far the worst movie.

The sith use synthetic red kyber crystals in their lightsabers simply because the nature and power of the darkside energy that is used would be too much for the natural crystals to take, the synthetic crystals also channel the darkside energy alot better and they are sometimes able to shatter natural lightsabers

@Braden Young as much as I did enjoy this scene visually (and enjoyed the entire movie, actually) I have to concede that this scene was choreographed horribly. Rey kicks three people at once, daggers disappear, Rey somehow gets out of a hold by dropping the lightsaber, the guards wait to attack so that they can be blocked. It's not stuff I noticed on first viewing, but yeah, it's a mess lmao.

Takeout Masaki Yes, the young kid did use the Force to get the broom. I missed it the first time I saw it. I think it alludes to the fact that anyone can be a Jedi/Hero. It doesn't need blood ties. Also a sort of reminder that, the Force users in the Galaxy aren't just magically created, the Galaxy is littered with people who can be taught to use their abilities and the possibilty of other Force isers appearing is still very much alive.

Your right about RotS. When Anakin turns on Mace Windu and joins the dark side really was an emotional moment in the movie. And when Obi-Wan tells Anakin he was supposed to bring balance to the force, not leave it in darkness. That was a little bit of a tear jerker for me even though I knew it was going to happen. Thank god Ewan McGregor nailed his part as Obi-Wan in a bad trilogy.

I kind of liked the battle until I realized the elite guard were NOT the knights of Ren. Still no explanation why Kylo would bother fighting against his non-force opponents instead of tanking the weapons from them in the force. As bad as when he let Finn wound him in TFA.
