Welp - it looks like I misread the Ewok merc requirements and it actually says they DO count as opposed to Don't Count - remember everyone - Reading is a good thing! =P

They just write that to counter the general mercenary rule (max 1 per rank, does not fill min requirement, etc), but it's pretty confusing how they write it. Bright Tree Village if their 11th army list, weird how thin they spread themselves with the few units they have.

High activations is all well and good, but if you're going to struggle with dealing out the damage, this is going to be a very difficult faction to win with. Let's see how these guys go when they're on the table and after an FAQ to clarify with wording and what the designers intended

16:45 "DO count". you misread it. you can take as many mercenaries as you want, and they fulfill your requirements. so that means you could take 6 Ewok core and 2 rebel special forces

In fact I don’t think that the teamwork command card of Leia and Wicket will be used with underworld connections. Because Wicket has the independent : dodge 1 keyword, he definitely don’t want to get orders and I think the card is meant to work like this. In addition, with teamwork, Leia will recieve the dodge as well.

2:57: I find Logray to be really great actually. He can generate 18 tokens in game for his men and he has courage3. With C-3PO this makes suppression a much smaller issue.

I think that command card can be used without underworld connections when you run the Ewok battle force, if u design ur own custom force THEN Leia will need underworld connections. That's how I interpret it

I think this is correct...in a rebel faction list you would need UC...in a BTV battle force you can use it without UC

They ruled it that you must have underworld connections to issue the order to wicket, which is silly. If an order card specifically gives an order to a named unit, it should bypass affiliation

I really dont like how they desighned this, so many strange things, like Leia needing to have underworld connections to allow her ally to work, and then outright making it impossible to run a pure ewok force, and making it possible to run a pure rebel list is just wrong for this battleforce, really hope they fix it up, also really hope we see the catapults from the movie, it would be nice to get some primitive artillery

A Bright Tree Village Battle Force is part of the Rebel Alliance faction. So she can issue orders. And you can run it with only ewoks. Why not? Edit: I see why not :P

Honestly, the easy fix would be to say: if a command card specifically calls out a named unit, in this case Wicket, then affiliation doesn't matter.

I'm curious on why that command card has an arrow and not an "X" if it's a one-use upgrade. You also mentioned that "Support" units are not available yet upto 2 units are allowed in the Battleforce. I will hold off on getting any Ewok stuff (The AT-AT is going Imperial.)

Yes if he is within range one, but it would be the permanent effect, rather than the order issued on the card, which is a bit silly

I love Ewaks but honestly not really interested unless they expand more give them the catapult and gliders. But they just don’t fit well in the legion.

I am not a huge fan of the at-st having flat incognito that is ripe for abuse. I think giving it incognito for a few turns would have been enough. I agree that the Wicket and Liea card not being able to give Wicket an order is really strange. We will see how it plays out in the meta as I am sure there will be a bunch of Ewoks players at least initially.

3:20- Oh, I kinda thought this video (because of how it’s worded and obviously because of how my brain works) was about some terrain box or box set that they may have just announced. Or something I missed the videos on! Too bad. I really think the smartest thing that the company that owns Legion can and should do is start coming out with boxes of terrain. And inside each box they come out with have specific rules for that terrain and a new game style. Kinda like they did with that last terrain box they came out with (but that was just one piece). And C-3POs card………… Um, I’ll be nice and just leave it there

They tried that. It was wildly panned because of the cost. In a world of better terrain options, you can't release hundred dollar pieces of terrain. No one cares.

I'm starting to feel the same, which makes me sad. As soon as I started thinking about Legion, the first thing to come to mine was Ewoks. But they are so restricted and seem so underwhelming that I don't know if I'll even bother. I'd like a pure Ewok army. I'd like more freedom when playing Ewoks. More and more, these battle forces are just "here's your prebuilt army" and less about theme.
