Nice to see more postive memes about the Kenobi show. Sure it might have problems (like the poor choreography in Episode 4) But I thought it was alright. A lot can happen between ROTS & ANH and I do like the idea of Obi Wan seeing kid Leia. Yes Reva is annoying at first but she seemed indimidating in episode 4 and curious about what her fate will be by the end as one way or another she will either end up dead or kicked out of the Inquisitorius. Also Darth Vader is really scary in this series, especially in his Bacta tank.

1:50 Where the prequel movies were not the greatest, they still had some of what makes star wars star wars and good overall storytelling other than the dialogue, and definitely the most interesting premise of the 3 trilogies with the clone wars. The possibilities for off-shoots such as The Clone Wars are incredible. On the other hand, the sequel movies are hot fucking garbage except the force awakens, and has the absolute LEAST interesting story and premise of any of the trilogies. These movies have nothing interesting to dig into, no "what if" no theories, nothing. Not one thing makes me curious about or want to return to this trilogy ever again. It absolutely has to be decanonised and replaced with a trilogy that has movies that take more than one year to make.

There's also just the immediate reception. People seemed to like the prequels when they came out. Just look at the box office of the two trilogies. The prequels had just over a 10% drop from Phantom Menace to Revenge of the Sith. The sequels on the other hand had a 50% drop in box office and a movie that came out between two of them was considered a failure. The prequels had two successful shows released in its era. The sequels had one that got cancelled.

@@kristinevanyperen5445 Well the hate seems to be a lot more damaging this time. Box Office for the movies went way down. And when I said sequel shows I didn't mean anything set after Return of the Jedi. I meant things that are set in the era of the Sequel trilogy. Everything in the Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett is from the OT or the prequels. The Clone Wars shows are unapologetically in the prequel era and were still successful. The only show that was set in the Sequel era got cancelled. Also, this is bad logic. There are movies that were considered bad when they came out but are now considered great. That doesn't mean every single movie that is received negatively is an underrated gem. Some movies just stay bad. You have to give more than "People hated it so its the same thing"

Your logic doesn't make much sense either, you aren't really giving a reason for the prequels being bad except for "well everyone else hates them so yeah." I think the sequels are amazing, everyone gets great character development, and considering all 3 films were made by different people it all comes together pretty seamlessly except for general Hux being the spy, which even that makes sense because he supported the first order before, but now kylo rens ruling it so he hates it. I just don't really understand sequel hate, it makes no sense at all.

The sequels will always be hated. I was born in 81 so I'm an original trilogy fan and I remember preparing myself to be disappointed when the prequels come out while they weren't as good as the original I don't know anyone in my age group that hated them. The prequels tapped into Star Wars lore which star wars fans love. The sequels are piss poor films that completely s**t on the already existing lore and beloved characters while not even being entertaining. The sequels are garbage, rightfully hated, will always be rightfully hated, and only donkey brained morons will ever think otherwise
