It looks like the game is directly inspired by the old Rebellion video game, which would be a very good thing. However, I'm not sure which I want more. To try this new table top version, or for someone to create an updated software version of the original. Great video guys and thanks for the details.

Yeah the missions are honestly my favorite part of the video game, and it looks like they've done a great job with that here. That's definitely the thing I missed the most when playing EaW

Just finished playing today with my brother after about 2 years since our last play. Had to freshen up on the rules again so the game took about 8 hours (lots of distractions though 😅) but it’s always a great game to play.

I just have to say that I love your videos Team Covenant. I have been watching them off and on, since I discovered your full Star Wars Imperial Assault demo about a year ago. You guys present top quality stuff, and I guess I am biased as I am an FFG "fanboy." The videos are clear, knowledgeable, humorous, but never goes too far. Great Job. P.S. If you guys were to release an Armada acrylic range ruler with different lengths of the close, medium, long, and squadron lengths. I believe I would make my first purchase at your store. As I like what you've done with the X-wing, but I only play Armada.

11:29, except you can't retreat to a location where the other attackers came from. pg 15.

Retreat: The rules actually seem to be worded such that rebel units can retreat to ANY adjacent space (other than ones the Imperials just moved from). BUT, if there is an option to go to a Rebel planet they must "if possible". In other words, if there are no adjacent Rebel planets, they can retreat to a non-Rebel planet, provided there are no Imperial units there.

I just bought it, and I'm already in love. The art... the board... the plastic figurines are excellent! And YES! The game is good and I'm just starting to play! Oh... and I just read about the Rogue One expansion that will come later this year... just GREAT! Thank you Team Covenant for give me the push I needed to decide!

+Team Covenant Yeah, it looks that way! There was a Battelore 2nd ed play through that was essentially a recreation. They showed all the plays being made and the cards used with individual shots. Got through a full game missing no action sin ten minutes.

Are there board game stores near where you live? They frequently have strong communities and game nights with people who are willing to try new things.

sit your best friend down, give them a drink or toke, and force them to play...works for me. Just be 100% ready to describe all the rules and keep them engaged. For this game I got two of my friends to play while I was rulekeeper. It was a blast!

@@UlsterPaddy1 This is the way. Sacrifice in the short term and play the long game to get people hooked. You learn and understand the rules front to back to reduce downtime and maximize enjoyment. You let two friends who have never played or are n00bs play while you facilitate and make things go as smooth as possible. I also pimped out my game with everything from painted pieces to Star Wars minis for leaders - streamline and sexify. Your friends will return for more. Like junkies, the first hit is free.

Its a lame rippoff of ideas expressed and used by fans for years. Rules in many places confusing and contradictory. And of course there will be expansions. I never understood the appeal to having dole out money every 6 months to get a complete game from pieces of one divided up to make more cash. Bleh, Home rules and components from minis games can make a far more interesting and in depth Rebellion like experience.

Sorry to say that but that FFG man looks scared and tired :/ Bad game promotion this way, especialy for a expansive game and a game many oryginal SW fans were waiting for ages :/
