What an era. Sure the figures weren't today's quality, but vehicles were plentiful and prices were pretty decent. And there was demand for this stuff because kids hadn't abandoned toys like these for whatever they do these days

TLC and early TVC were peak modern-Star Wars. The line today has too many points of articulation and are super flimsy. Plus, customising and kit-bashing is super hard now.

I gave a friend one of the original Kenner Cloud Cars, in the mid 90s. He put it on top of his TV. Told people who didn’t recognize it that it was his “satellite antenna”.

I wish I could go back and experience seeing these films again for the first time. I remember being sort of awestruck when first seeing the cloud car. I'd love a new Cloud Car, give it some sleek paint apps and I'd get one for sure.

This was a great review. Always enjoy seeing your analysis of older items like this. I was lucky to find the Cloud Car when it originally came out in 2010. A centerpiece of my Empire display.

This was one of my Grails. Finally got one about 12 months ago with 2 pilots. Love the backdrop display that comes with it. Looks great in my ESB display. I also have the Kenner version but its missing the canopies and the Kenner Die cast version as well. I also picked up only last weekend the Obi Wan version of the Naboo skiff in the catalog. Can't wait to open it. As always awesome review Tim.Keep them coming.

I really like this vehicle! A few years back I found a decent used one on eBay. Since it wasn’t in pristine shape I attempted a light wash to mimic some of the newer TVC vehicles and there’s a lot of nice panel lines.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the cloud car. I totally agree with you. It is still an awesome ship. I was lucky to pick one up a few years ago for a very descent price. A rerelease in the TVC line is much appreciated!

Wow! I remember when this came out. I actually picked it up and put it back on the shelf, because I had the kenner one as a kid and it was my least favorite ship. But I never knew this one came apart. That is a great feature. I always wondered if they were supposed to come apart. Gotta say unless I some how inherit a house I'm going to continue to pass on this vehicle. Just no bloody space anymore. I seem to have just enough figures at the moment. I been finding my self selling off figures and vehicles when something new that I can't pass up comes along. Great video as always tim. Thanks for this great review. They are very informative and help me decide what I want to collect. Wish this channel was around 20 years ago. Take care

I have 2 Original Kenner Cloud Cars. I have been "toying" with the idea of getting more Cloud Car Pilots but I already have 4, therefore I didn't know where they would go. As far as fast and favorable solutions go, this one should have been...but is now, on my radar. Great Upgraded Vehicle!🙂

Great video, makes me yearn for ANYTHING Bespin.....Come on Hasbro! How about an Ugnaught 4 -pack? Then release a Ugnaught smelting room playset where that 4-pack can have a game of "keep away" with Chewy.

I was happy to get a couple of these. They are quite a bit different from the original but they are very cool. I think that it would definitely work for Vintage Collection minus the play features of it pushing together and coming apart, add some paint apps and it would be awesome. With the concept Pod Car, all 3 look pretty cool together.

Yes definitely a TVC release required but much like the E-Wing will need more weathering and paint applications. Maybe also with a different Pilot to the one we already have too.

I notice the leaflet indicated that Zuckuss (vintage 4-LOM) would be appearing in wave 1 of TVC in 2010. As we now know, this was changed to 4-LOM (vintage Zuckuss). Interesting that we have still to see Zuckuss in TVC, 350 VC numbers later. Cheers, BB

I had the cloud car as a kid, probably one of the most boring ships but I still had tons of fun with it. Always thought it looked like a pair of shoes! The Shadows line had some of the best vehicle releases, they've even managed to make this one look good.

That was very generous of them! I love the Bespin Cloud Car. I can’t put my finger on why. Maybe the shape? And it was just so weird. I actually picked up an original Kenner Cloud Car this spring. It’s sitting in my office with 3 pilots. I am glad they redid it with more play value. Can’t go wrong with either of them.

I have this vehicle in my collection, still shocked that it took so long before Hasbro did a new version of it. I feel like it should have been part of the 1990's Power of the Force line. Unfortunately, the only version of the cloud car we got during that time period was the Expanded Universe version.

The only thing about this vehicle that I would want Hasbro to change for a T.V.C. re-release is the spring-loaded missiles in the middle. Eliminating them would make the Cloud Car much more screen accurate.

I like this vehicle and i think it is good for the VC and i think a re-issue would be nice. I have one that is never opened, but i will open it soon hopefully. I am still after the Expanded Universe Cloud Car.

Funny, I've never been interested in, nor have I ever owned any version of the Cloud Car. Even the vintage version when I was a kid. Just didn't like the design and thought it was too niche to bother owning (basically just a puny patrol vehicle for Bespin rent-a-cops that we only see for about four seconds of screentime.) But darnit if this doesn't look pretty neat and adorable. Don't think I'll ever bother trying to source one at this point, but I can definitely see the appeal now. Thanks for the review!

This should absolute have a VC release. I have this release myself, and it's really nice. The Cloud Car was one of my favorite ships from the saga, so it was nice to get one. The Cloud Car Pilot was also one of my favorite figures and that is a really great VC release. I know that neither the ship or figure has ever been very popular, but I also liked the Emperors Dignitary figure, so I might be a bit weird 😄
