I played the PC version back ilwhennit came out in the 90s. Aside from the normal issues that plauged early 3d accelerated games and comparability issues between graphics cards that were not 100% supported the game ran great. We originally had a poorly supported gpi, but upgraded to a better supported gpi and the game was amazing. I remember playing the n64 version for the first time at a friend's house after beating the PC version and I was surprised how cut down the game felt because of the lack of FMV and full dialogue in the cut scenes. Either way both are great ways to play and you will enjoy either. Great book adaptation and there was actually book inspired musical score soundtrack that is excellent as well. Good memories.

Things i really disliked in the PC port: The complete absence of a proper title screen, the one in the N64 had a very fitting soundtrack, and a awesome artwork. The interface shrinks a lot with the higher resolution. Having a series of problems i believe was a common thing around that time, when a game was first made to a console, then ported to PCs, separate windows for game settings and ease to crash ends up plaguing these kinds of games. I would like a remaster like the one Nightdive Studios did for Turok and Turok 2 would be awesome.
@Kelphelp5 жыл бұрын
Yea that is true. I didn't have the experience where it shrunk my view but I do know its rather tedious to get running. PC ports at the time were kinda afterthoughts and tended to not run well. PC to console or console to PC usually has problems And as much as a remaster would be nice, with Disney having ownership I don't think it will happen. Hi, I did not know your channel, and good work on this comparison, I think you are using just the regular RCA output of your N64, I recommend you upgrade it to S-video if your model supports it and you have a TV that accepts it (many TVs with scart accept S-video through them).
