I don’t think Jude’s character is evil, I feel he’s how Ezra Bridger would have turned out if he never met Karan Jarrus. He’d be doing whatever he had to do stay alive and avoid the empire and the inquisitors.
@MertarantaАй бұрын
He's a force sensitive scoundrel survivor.
@redcardinalistАй бұрын
He did order the Captain out of the airlock in E1...
@extracheddarАй бұрын
He has killed and tried to kill quite a few people that probably didn’t deserve to die, but ya know people are complex. I think he’s very much the Long John Silvers type
@braddollahiteАй бұрын
I think he's more of a solo kanan Jarrus type. But definitely has the force but didn't reach Jedi status

Does Karan Jarrus ask to see the space manager? 😂😝🤣

I do think Jod or Jack or whatever his name is probably does have the Force. Might have been one of the kids that the Hidden Path hid from the Empire and then he fell into a life of piracy.

@chewchillathewookiee3515 jude laws age isnt automatically his characters age....
@nickyutzy4788Ай бұрын
@@chewchillathewookiee3515 Just because Jude is that age doesnt mean his character is. This is set 30-35 years after Order 66 so he could have been 10-15 years old or so when that all went down
@brettbaumler754Ай бұрын
@ first of all, Jude is currently 51, he filmed this when he was 49. we are at least at 9 ABY. That’s nearly 30 years after the Clone Wars. Assuming he is playing a character the same age as himself (most actors don’t. Pedro and Katee are not the same ages as Mando or Bo-Katan) he would only be about 18 when the Empire started. If he wasn’t part of the Jedi the Path would almost certainly still have relocated him. And again, he could be playing a character that’s a few years younger than himself, making him a young teen when the Empire started
@LordGrokken20 күн бұрын
I feel that Jod whatever his true name might be, was probably a force sensitive that was not found by the Jedi until one ran across him and he became like Ezra, one that never trained at the temple. I do think a Jedi did train him to some extent but that ended when his teacher was likely killed by the Empire Inquisitors.

Pretty sure Jack/Jod IS a scoundrel, but not evil. The Han Solo-type. Does what he has to do to stay alive and get ahead, but with a heart. And you can actually see it in the way he treats the kids. Sure, he wasn't telling them the full truth and he was using them to his own advantage, but he also takes care of them. He didn't cook food for just him alone, he knows they're tired and need rest, he went back to safe Neel from getting lost/left behind - twice - and also chose him to steer the ship, which will eventually boost his confidence (and i'm pretty sure he'll have moments like this with the other kids, too). And i'm also sure that he's force-sensitive and can manipulate it. Question is, to what degree. I don't think he was ever a full-blown Jedi. At most, he might have survived Order 66 as a youngling. Or maybe he's a kid that got saved by The Hidden Path. Or he might be the kid of a Order 66-survivor and his parent gave him very basic training before the Empire got to them.

Without a ship _and_ without a good reason... At Attin is a good reason. 😉 (For Jod finally escaping the brig.) It's good that the show answers half of the question. 😌
@lordfoul6259Ай бұрын
I think Jod used to be a padawan or at least a youngling in the jedi temple during order 66 he must've had some basic lessons on how to use the force but in order to survive and stay off the empire's radar he became a pirate

Crimson Jack is from the Marvel comics stories... the first-ever post-ANH "expanded universe" story, predating Splinter of the Mind's Eye. It's nice to see this series dig way back into early lore, even with the Wolfman from the Cantina, the holo-entertainment device from the Holiday Special, and other rarely explored sources.

Given that he had it literally for lunch money suggests it doesn't have the value on At Attin that it might elsewhere in the galaxy.

I don't think the pirate is being cryptic when he says 'turst your gut" I took it more like the Oracle in the matrix. Make your own damn mind. '
@chrisherber1635Ай бұрын
I have a theory..might be too meta but it makes sense. I think At Attin’s secret treasure is their monetary system they created which gives them a utopia type world. Free from wars, scoundrels, scavenging, etc. The rest of the Star Wars universe has a bunch of high level politics, power struggles, bounty hunting, etc. At Attin is more like the most “peaceful” earth society. Everyone there is rich due to their “great work”
@Alfje17Ай бұрын
I like that idea, I can see At Attin as a sort of communist utopia, where everybody has a job and nobody is poor. However they still have money, Wim's lunch-money is probably not worth anything back home, but it's a fortune out there in the real world.
@chrisherber1635Ай бұрын
@ right exactly. I didn’t see it as communist as first but that makes perfect sense. Communism finally done “right” lol. But makes life boring like Wim mentions.

@AFC9798Ай бұрын
I'm glad it wasn't Carson, the guys already everywhere. I'm kind of hoping that no one we know shows up. We want the Star Wars universe to be vast and full of different stories. Having people we know from previous shows only makes it seem smaller.
