this was a great trailer that got me hyped as hell for the game...which was alright I suppose. makes me wonder what about this trailer got me excited. Maybe I just want a movie with this type of cgi animation. You can pull some crazy stuff here and still make it seem almost as real as live action...maybe even more real since you can integrate fantastical elements much more organically than even the best special effects.

@DAFTTECHNO I think lightsabers have a feature to it that when its not in the Jedi's hand is shuts off, but when they throw the lightsaber it has to be telekinetically kept on. Some lightsabers have a Blade Lock feature.

It seems to have worked out for him, his goal was absolute power as it aligns with a fundamental principal of the Sith. His intent was to have no discernible weakness to exploit.

@DAFTTECHNO It's generally accepted that the "on button" has to be held down for a lightsaber to stay on (part of the reason why throwing a lightsaber requires so much prowess with the force). When Vader gets a hold of Lukes lightsaber, it seems as though the visual director is making a point of showing Vader take his hand off the switch; this would be why.

@leadleg Colour is not necessarily indicative of force alignment. Most dark side users carry red blades because they prefer to use synthetic crystals in the construction of their lightsabers. Although, synthetic crystals can be made in any colour.

Yeah there is a book entitled "Revan" it takes place after the Jedi Civil War, it explains what happens to him after KOTOR games. It's written by Drew Karpyshan as you are well aware is the same author of the Bane Trilogy. There is is a Comic book Knights of the Old Republic that explains how Revan got involved in the Mandalorian Wars and how his fall began. But the best way to learn about Revan is to play Knights of the Old Republic. Drew was also the lead writer for that game.

It's from the Episode III soundtrack, one of the songs that play during Anakin and Obi-Wan's duel on Mustafar. Can't put my finger on the exact name but that should narrow it down.

@masterwarrior1000 well as far as the game goes.. if they have a single blade and heavy armor they are a Juggernaut, single blade and just robes are Sith Sorcerers, 2 lightsabers are Sith Marauders and if they have a dual saber-staff then sith assassins but again those are weapon restrictions in the game so you can't really classify characters in trailers or anything solely by them

@ShanksDChopper Major difference between a cinematic and the game itself: You can't control anything by watching a cinematic. Interaction in a huge space with tons of players around you wouldn't be possible with graph like those (For the moment!) That's why games like Oblivion or Fallout3 are only single-player even though it's a huge and beautiful world.

@Anaken12 In fact, i believe the Grand Master of the Jedi Order died during the end of the war and Satale Shan (a descendant of Bastila) takes the title (so Bastilla is dead by now). Also, a Sith Lord called Baras suspects Satale may in fact be a descendant of Revan and wishes to turn her.

Darth Nox is the name given to a Dark side inquisitor at the end of the game. Other moralities give a different name, Light side is Darth Imperius. I never said that's how it worked in canon, but rather that's the ranking system you see in the game.

@LeftoverJedi The reason you use there for the troopers is the same as a lot of people, but I'd dispute it: Republic Troopers in KotOR looked like rebellion ones, so unless the armour is limited to the special forces I'll have trouble buying into it. And even that excuse is a stretch as grunts in the clone wars still had armour. As for the bounty hunter: It's the class I have a problem with, we'll see hundreds of Fett ripoffs, Mandos are supposed to be a rarity, not something you see every day.

If any of you were looking for the names of these infamiliar faces, well here you go. The main Sith warrior, the one who is also talking, is named Darth Malgus. His twi'lek companioin is named Eleena. Eleena is also Malgus' lover. The jedi master seen fighting is named Ven Zallow. I only know alll of this because of the Deceived book. Im about half way through and its amazzinnggg. Zallow's student, Aryn Leener, goes on a hunt to find the one tha killed her master. Aryn may be the one in Hope.

I went to the cinema to watch the empire strikes back and was even at that age blown away by the advances in cinema , with the new films it went more powerfull on force and the saber fights stopped looking like a realaistic fencing dual , then kotor and opened up a whole mythology for a whole galaxey , force unleashed then went batshit insane with the power of the force , there is no limit to what story lines and awe feats we can enjoy with this amazing format
