There's a reason she became Grandmaster of the Jedi order. (Malgus, on the other hand, was probably the greatest lightsaber duelist alive at that time. And you eventually get to fight him in-game.)

Lord-Commander Savage Actually, no, it's not. If you read the EU/Legends material, you'll find that Darth Vader DID study Malgus a lot when he was Palpatine's apprentice. One prime example of this is a book called Book Of The Sith, the Dark Side counterpart to the book The Jedi Path.

As the game is part of legends is completely valid observation, in the legends continuity Varder studied Malgus, and took inspiration from him, mainly because after this Malgus ends in a similar situation as Vader.

Can't really talk about The Old Republic without referencing Legends and EU, considering the whole ERA in which the Old Republic takes place isn't even 'canon'. So within the universe that the game takes place it is true that Vader studied Malgus' fighting style, but it's not true in the movies.

THIS was my favorite and my sister's as well :) an what had us go into the Old Republic and play and "beat" the single player story in the 4 or 5 classes we wanted to check out. Remember the lady went in knowing he killed her master, and I loved seeing a commando go toe to toe with a Sith. Was a fun reaction and you have a heart that very much like my sister :) she says she teared up too. Again this game is a must play for any star wars fan just to see the story unlock. Ty again Jen

Great reaction. Did you remember her from the first trailer? I really enjoy the story told by these trailers. We see both characters grow to replace their masters as exemplars of their peoples. In "Return," Malgus uses the Jedi to kill his master and take his place. In Hope, Satele kicks his ass and defends the Republic with courage, thus taking her master's place. Finally, in "Deceived" we see the Sith answer the challenge of the Jedi; that neither the Republic's courage nor the Empire's savagery will win this war outright. The stage is set. Both combatants at full strength and eager for battle. Love it.

Fun facts, that was Satele Shan and she becomes the Jedi Grandmaster. That soldier is Jace Malcom and has a kid with Satele, Theron Shan, who is more of a super spy because he isn't force sensitive.

While it might seem cool, the doublebladed lightsabers were a lot harder to learn, though it really depended on the length of the hilt, because the shorter the hilt the lot more challenging & deadly it can be to learn.

funfact the old republic troopers of havoc squad were so devastating to the sith empire that the likes of sith warriors and sith lords actually feared them a bit in battle you can see it in this cinematic the troopers literally charge at the sith and rougby tackle them shoulder bash them and just gun them down and the leader charged at malgus TWICE and survived both times

FYI that Republic soldier and the Jedi girl had a love child together. His name is Jace Malcom, her name is Satele Shan, and their son's name is Theron Shan. In the game Theron is an adult so they had their affair a while back.

The first three cinematics have several common characters: The Sith Lord, Malgus, who gets more f'd up each video Satele Shan, The female Jedi Master (Malgus killed her master in the "Return" trailer) The Republic trooper whose name escapes me (He carried the mini-gun in "Return" and plays a central role in this trailer) I didn't notice this after my first viewing but knowing it helps create a more cohesive story. The last two trailers of the five take place a few centuries later and follow different characters.

Question for you, Dear Russian Venezuelan, Australian Jen. Why is it when you watch the Horde videos (referring to bad and good guys) You suggest you would choose the horde. But with Star Wars, you would choose Jedi (Good guys) . Please take no offense to that question. It is merely out of curiosity from someone who has played Horde in WoW and both Jedi and Sith in SWTOR (Both loved equally) That being said. Your reaction to this was beautiful. I have played this game for 2 years and have loved every minute of the gameplay and storyline of it. If it weren't such a dead game, I would suggest playing it. Simply for the story line.

FINALLY! Someone who does not go, "Oh, Sith look so bad ass, so cool!" I do not care how they look, these A holes would kill anyone for no reason, that is NOT cool. As for double bladed vs single bladed lightsabers, because the second blade limits your options of how you hold it and swing it in front of you because you need to be careful not to impale yourself as much as it gives you additional attack options on a backswing, it really comes down to only personal preference. Best option is to have lightsabers that can be locked together like Asajj Ventress, because you can adapt to situation as needed, even Darth Maul had his two sabers welded together so they could not separate. Personally I think the coolest version of lightsaber is retrosaber, a single blade that can be hooked up with a power cord to a battery on a belt. First lightsabers needed those batteries because they did not have power sources small enough to fit into hilts yet and latter Jedi sometimes did the retro build to give their sabers extra power if needed. Remember that security door that Qui-Gon Jinn could not melt trough in time in Episode I? Retrosaber could go trough that like paper.
