I’ve never even considered this is some very interesting insight and facts and it definitely follows why Yoda stayed on Degobah …. And it’s a very strong reason for Yoayo to want Padmé gone as she could’ve posed a threat and that she said Yoda was desperate.. Nice work 👍

I have another theory I think Palpatine used Pademe to manipulate Anakin from the time they met. He obviously staged her murder but maybe he knew they would land on Tatooine since he knew Anikan was alive on that planet and he put the thought of her dying in his head to bring him to the dark side
@starwarsdistrict16 күн бұрын
I will definitely admit that Palpatine is very crafty and plans schemes with multiple backups. He could have been thinking of many ways to manipulate Anakin. If not Padme or his mother; Palpatine would have used whatever methods to control the situation that is Anakin.
@davidbrandt8482 ай бұрын
Very interesting theory. I just can't imagine Yoda doing that though. I have always believed it was Palpatine who killed Padme and drained her life force. Palpatine did it to continue to manipulate Vader and to use Vader's grief and frustration to fuel Vader's power and connection to the dark side. I also believe he wanted to have Vader's full loyalty to himself not to Padme who frequently disagreed with him politically. Your theory does give a better reason for Yoda to stay on Dagobah, but it just doesn't seem consistent with Yoda's character. He was far to disciplined to give in no matter how desperate he felt in any given moment.
@starwarsdistrict2 ай бұрын
Admittedly, yes some parts were a stretch about Yoda. I still believe that Yoda has never truly been tested in a very long time. Yes he is disciplined and a veteran master but keep in mind for generations no Jedi was stronger than him, he ran the high council for years (no body really ever voted against him), I believe only one Jedi as ever beat him in a sparring match and he has tons of force powers/abilities. It is possible in my mind that when he finally came across a challenge (Sidious) in a 1 vs 1 battle and he realized that he could not win; plus his loss meant the Jedi were demolished completely. Everyone has a breaking point. He did something dark (Kill Padme) and then he realized it was not the way. Thus regret and isolation.
@davidbrandt8482 ай бұрын
@@starwarsdistrict Possible, sure I'll concede that, but it still seems more likely that Palpatine did it to both empower and manipulate Vader. I believe I read somewhere that Vader came to this conclusion as well. However, the one thing that does support your theory is that it better explains why Yoda would stay on Dagobah for so long. Especially for that reason, your theory cannot simply be rejected. Besides, it is fun to speculate about.

@@davidbrandt848 Palpatine is a tricky individual. He does have the ability to choke someone from like half the galaxy away. It is definitely fun to speculate too. I got some more material in the works. Please keep watching.

no way. Anakin broke her heart and that is why she died. If Yoda had killed her then he would have trained Luke and Leia from day one.
@starwarsdistrict2 ай бұрын
She may have been sad and hurt over Anakin but she was aware that she was giving birth. In reading novels surrounding Padme it was clear that she wanted her own family. Padme came from a loving and supportive family. She did alot of work for others her entire career (as Queen and Senator) but deep down she wanted a family. I strongly believe she would not kill her self when she was about to have her kids.

True. The force nexus was a big part but his decision to stay inactive begs for more explanation. Yoda is the Grand Master of the Jedi. He took one beating and hid the rest of his life. Simply need more than the current cannon explanation.
