My own project has stalled pretty hard, as last year was particularly devastating for my immediate and extended family. (They say it comes in threes, and they happened to be correct) I wonder if perhaps you could share any insight into maybe your own experience with delays or even derailment, and what you found to be most beneficial for overcoming those impediments. Regardless, thanks for sharing your awesome Geek Journey with us. May the Force Be With You

So true! I dabbled with making things, but then I watched the hardware store lightsaber build and within a week I had two lightsabers on my shelf collecting dust! Edit: I also have a pair of sci-fi binoculars, a cardboard box of junk, a unopened and never-to-be-properly-assembled model tank, and some small containers full of smaller greebles. These projects joined ranks with a model space ship, a LEGO Anakin Skywalker's Starfighter, a bunch of _Harry Potter_ style wands and other various sci-fi and/or fantasy projects still on the figurative assembly line. And that isn't even going into my collection of sci-fi/fantasy items, including a animatronic porg! Yeah... my room is a mess. Figuratively _and_ literally.

Great build! Really impressed with how it was done w/o a laser cutter, etc. Which makes sense if you think about it, I'm guessing they didn't have those in the 70's when building the sets. And thanks for the warning about making falcon padding... I was planning on trying that at some point, I'll be sure to take extra precautions to not make a major mess.
@fullentony3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, exactly they had to go out and rummage for parts with almost no budget. Which is perfect for me! lol Have fun with the mod podge. There's really no way to make the pads without making a mess. Brown craft paper laid out first, does help some though.
