geunine question, if you place brain blocks in a 5 by 5 which would be faster, fully upgraded mm or mech? I'd argue mm, but I might be wrong, never encountered brain blocks before

I find that until you reach durasteel level, you dont really need to mine far down or really at all, you can get the other materials from chests and on the surface, and skip titanium straight to durasteel

I always use wooden platforms when mining or spelunking. They're relatively cheap and help early game.

I completely disagree with the flare items. They are in fact to me the most useless items in the game. I always get rid of them. Torch lights are much better. Not only do torches provide same amount of lighting but are beyond easy to craft. Torches not only give great lighting but also stay put so they can help you get back to surface much much easier just by following your torch trail.

Would've been cool if you could get special flare guns that have unique traits, like flares that stay afloat and keep homing on enemies as long as there is one within it's reach.

I use the flares to know how much deep is the cave they are useful to know how deep caves is

For easier mining, you can get the "Illuminated Ores" mod which makes ores glow.

Firespark81 I found the easiest and fastest way to make money You go to the geode biome and get geodes and open them and sell the stuff you get I had 60 geodes and opend them and got about 6000 pixels
