This is most of the first track of the Mars Volta's LP, Frances the Mute. If you like it, why not buy the album?

No one makes music like The Mars Volta. No band right now can create this original of a song, put out 6 albums that are in genres of their own, and move me so much with their music. Top notch musicians and I laugh at the people who pan this band's genius.

This song builds up slowly, perfectly and so epically and climaxes at 7:38 with Cedric's greatest singing EVER with a series of the most angelic high-notes in the history of mankind (7:48! to end). The smoothness of composition and production, singing, and overall sound of Deloused and Francis era is the crowning glory of the mars volta imho. I love all their music, their lyrical content and music is always fresh and amazing but this epic sound smooth quality I miss a lot. Love this song

I figure you mean to say that they have a more extroverted attitude overall, but stating that those 3 Prog Giants have NO balls, meaning they "take no risks", is way too incorrect and irrational, they simply have different styles and that's all.

@JUSTIN030783 Well, this was uploaded in '09. After '06 or '07 people couldn't say they were a director anymore, which meant you have to be granted special privileges to upload videos longer than 10 minutes. Cygnus is a 12 and half minute track, and the last few minutes are synth and ambiance. A lot of tracks on Frances the Mute are like that, like The Widow.
