love the part at 7:00, beautiful clean tone on the chords. funny thing with the intro, there was some leaked audio files from the recording sessions for this album and a LOT of the files were just many takes of the intro to this song with omar messing up slightly and swearing lol. if even omar found it so difficult to get right (to his perfectionist standard im sure) i respect anyone who can play it like you did

Thanks! I did use an existing guitar pro as a guideline, but I did not find all parts to be accurate, and the fingerings are also not my style, so it's not what I'm playing in the video. How exactly do you get the tone of the solo? I figure there's some delay and a tube screamer type overdrive (or maybe a fuzz), but is that it?

thats right! I'm using a scream drive from the digital amp itself, then a flanger, delay and reverb pedals in that order (everything from Waves GTR plugin pack)..and there is also some distortion from the compressor plugin I used (Pulsar Smasher)
