Visit Aldi next. Those of us who live IN the United States, far far away from Trader Joe’s and far far away from WF ( I.E. not near a college city and not near the East coast or West Coast) must shop at Walmart and Aldi. And so yes, Walmart does surprisingly carry increased variety of organic and whole food plant based options, for example organic Tofu, Bragg liquid aminos, Ezekiel Bread ( in freezer) organic flax seed and organic chia seeds. And, a good selection of dried & canned beans. Not to mention a sizable organic fresh produce section.

I need an Aldi. 😭

Bragg's is literally cheaply made soy sauce. You can get the same thing if you buy a 99 cent bottle of store brand soy sauce. It's literally the same thing. It tastes identical.

Good show! I am a Walmart person. Excellent rundown and a big help to me. I highly recommend Walmart Supercenters as the places to go for the widest selection and more SKU's! It is generally well worth the longer drive to get to one of those!

You are adorable, Emmie! Love sorghum! I have celiac disease so I’m all about the gluten free grains. My jaw dropped when you said ppl don’t like oatmeal lol I cannot buy dried mango anymore - it is indeed crack as you say 😆 I’d love to see a Whole Foods shop! Maybe even with healthy mummy or healthy dad :) Thanks for sharing this great haul, xo💓
@reneepelletier30212 жыл бұрын
P.s. definitely cook the sorghum in a pressure cooker - otherwise it takes an eternity!!

Hey Emmie, love all of your videos and this one was extra helpful. Just wanted to give you a tip on the avocado conundrum... I'll buy avo's in bulk and let them sit on my counter. I'll check them everyday and when they're ripe they go in my "avo drawer" in my fridge. They'll last weeks at the perfect ripeness 😁
@HealthyEmmie2 жыл бұрын
That’s such an awesome trip! When you defrost them how do they taste?
@caressegarcia2 жыл бұрын
@@HealthyEmmie I've never tried putting them in the freezer. The fridge seems to slow the ripening process to a crawl so they stay ripe for a very long time just in the fridge.

That’s what I do too!

I’m a NC girl and that Greensboro Whole Foods store is my bread and butter.😉I shop there weekly. But, sometimes I do hit up Food Lion or Harris Teeter. I’m not sure if you have either of those stores in your area, but if so, I’d love to see what you could find at either of those. Your videos are great! I always look forward to the days you post them.💗

I shop Walmart every Thursday like clockwork! I do very well shopping there on this lifestyle. I shop mostly in the produce section and a little bit in the middle (I have a large family) isles. You can make this life work no matter what store you go to. Idaho has cheaper potatoes though 😉. I’m always the crazy lady looking for the least brown(I meant green, I want brown) bananas and the soft avocados. Great video Emmie

Hey there - from Greensboro, NC! Loved your video. I shop WM regularly, and can find almost everything I need in the produce section or the frozen produce section. On the off chance I can't find something I usually trot over the the Super G. Have you ever done a shop at Aldi or Lidl? They're very popular in North Carolina!

I have half a freezer full of those hash browns. I eat hashbrown and fat free refried bean burritos every morning. * BTW Wal-Mart has canned Silver Floss sauerkraut, which has amazing flavor (cheaper, lasts longer) in cans where the canned beans are.

We buy a bag of avocados; for 2 of us. We do not eat avocados daily. However, I buy them while they’re hard. As soon as they start to have a bit of give, when pressed, they go into the fridge. They last quite awhile after that. I’ve also heard avocados can be frozen, but we haven’t yet tried that.
@haleyphillips2202 жыл бұрын
I saw on Tik Tok to put avocados in a jar of water in the fridge and I can attest to the fact that they last for literally ever that way. We had them in the fridge for months and they were still good when we wanted one. Game changer!
