Why I have the impression Tychus actually did not want to kill Kerrigan? You know - the slow movement of his trigger finger like he's hesitating, the "Damn shame." line... My theory is, that even as ruthless SOB he was, he couldn't bring himself to betray Raynor as his life-long friend. And since he knew Mengsk will kill him remotely by shutting down his vital organs via his armour in case he won't kill Kerrigan, he preferred quick and painless death from hands of his friend...

Chris Goldenmouth In my theory, I think he counted on it. He knew Raynor went through all kinds of hell not only to stop Queen of Blades, but his main motivation was to save Kerrigan. Tychus must've known Raynor would rather take the bullet himself instead of just watching Kerrigan die. So he gave him plenty of time to realize the situation and to reach for his gun. He could just shoot her without a word.

I always thought that the invasion scene where the zerg overwhelm the fleet before the attack was reminisce of the invasion scene of starship troopers where the fleet encounters "light" flak, but ends up getting wrecked and losing hundreds of thousands in mere hours after the first wave. I thought it was a nice touch

I think it's mainly because the terrans actually improved their tech on the marines. You might have noticed that the armor and guns are hell of a lot more beefy and higher tech compared to the old ones. Granted this is mostly due to the developers having better animation stuff but lore-wise the terrans could have just gotten sick of not even scaring the zerg with their stuff and revamped their gear.

They are banshees, they have 2 Rotors at the end, and they are specifically a bomber unit in the lore, firing Whiplash rockets at ground units, and also has the ability to go cloaked.

Anaerobic organisms on earth are able to metabolise without Oxygen, to some, Oxygen may even be toxic. The original manual says, that the standard marine's rifle are Gauss rifles. Which is obviously not 100% true, because as far as I know, the Gauss rifle uses an electromagnetic field to accelerate the bullet, which would mean the lack of both bullet shells and muzzle fire. I guess it's a hybrid weapon of some sorts.

You are mixing it with Railguns which only use electromagnetical fields to speed up the projectile. A gauss rifle would use both traditional gunpowder and electromagnetical fields to speed up the bullet. As for the weapon size, the suit probably has gyro stabilizators such as the Space Marines on Warhammer 40k lore, hence no normal human could handle the weight, recoil or control the weapon properly. But back to the point, you (kinda) mixed up Gauss Rifles with Railguns.

That's probably what the case is. Especially if it's for the sake of redundancy: chemical-explosion driven round that then hits the EMF coils of the proper Gauss component. That and it would serve as a "backup" if the EMF coils somehow get knocked out, you've still got that wonderful blast of gunpowder sending metal barreling towards your target.

That's the thing, they don't. When in space they expel special gases from their body as their propulsion which in turn was created as a by-product by their means of creating special scents for communication. The flapping of their wings are more of a habit, kinda like how humans move their arms when walking normally. The wing motion also generates the energy which serve as the catalyst for the creature's internal biological functions.

HellsRaven4444 Well there's the answer to a mystery that's been troubling me since SC1. Those must be some pretty tough carapaces to prevent their bodies from getting torn asunder by the g forces generated from reaching roughly mach 25 to escape a planet's gravity. It's probably a one way trip too, no clue how they're supposed to get down from space assuming they survived the mission. Maybe they secrete an ablative substance that defeats the friction of hitting an atmosphere at -once again- mach 25. Yeah I know it's a video game but its amazing the kind of questions that come up when you think about it for a little.

Also, in the 40k universe, when there are massive orbital battles and drops of troops, the athmosphere of a planet seems to get fucked royally over the area where the battles for multiple reasons which would explain why it rained for a fucking longtime in the campaign

@markgaisensei well since its gonna be about kerrigan, i imagine that all 3 will take place during the same time period, just alternate realities. this is basically the result of a terran victory. the next should be a zerg victory with which i imagine Earth itself will fall. The last will be a protoss victory with the Zerg being decimated. Just my 2 cents. I'm probably right though.
