The joke is that Tychus made a doll out of Jim's marine armor, except since Jim doesn't wear his armor when not in combat, the doll doesn't work on him and instead hurts another marine nearby...who is Tychus who can't get out of his marine armor.

I know it's dark comedy, but there's also some subtle foreshadowing towards the end of the WoL campaign. Remember, Tosh was furious that Jim betrayed him, but somehow, the voodoo worked on Tychus instead. Hindsight is 20/20, but perhaps that was the moment when you are hinted that Tychus was hiding a deep, dark secret, bordering treachery on his part.

For everyone trying to decide between tosh and nova, siding with nova will have tosh killed, get you a couple of ghosts, and then you'll never see nova again (except in this cutscene) But if you pick Tosh, Nova doesn't get harmed, you get spectres, and later in the game, dr. hanson reveals that spectres aren't any more insane or crazy than regular ghosts.

@@janmoravek157 That's the thing I hated about Wings of Liberty. Whatever you chose, the game changed to make your decision the correct one - for example, Tosh vs Nova? Pick Nova, Spectres are murderers, rapists, thugs. Pick Tosh? You just freed journalists, poets and loyal soldiers. Protoss vs Doctor? Pick Protoss, and the colony is fully infected. Pick the Doctor, there are barely any infected and all ends well for the colony. etc.

@@PetersaberHD What actually happens is that picking one option causes the other to escalate into doing worse things in response to you going against them. Spectres are never actually shown to be psychopaths, funnily enough even if you side with Nova (they actually have more mentally stable voice lines than Ghosts) and siding with Tosh then speaking to the doctor confirms that Nova was lying. However, if you side with Nova then Tosh aggressively ramps up Spectre production in dubious ways because he knows he's about to get attacked and needs something to respond to that attack in desperation. Tosh is technically always the right moral choice, but he isn't above doing shady things when he needs to so he is willing to do drastic measures when cornered. Same with doctor vs Selendis; when siding with doctor, the few colonists who are infested are just put in a cute little research pen because the uninfested ones are hiding behind Jim's forces. When siding with Selendis, the colonists are screwed and know it so they resort to willingly mass infest themselves because that's the only way they might survive against Jim and Selendis. The doctor is always the right moral choice, but because her colonists are so unable to protect themselves and are so afraid of getting Warhammer40k Exterminatus'd by the Protoss that they resort to literally anything to survive which includes zerg infestation (i mean, that's a 1% chance of survival vs 0%).

This scene is actually a whole lot sadder if you've read the SC Ghost Academy comics. SPOILERS Nova and Tosh were actually in a relationship once (and saw themselves as soulmates). But, Ghosts aren't allowed to form attachments. So the Dominion plugged both of them into a neural resocializer and tried to brainwash them into being perfect, emotionless tools. It worked on Nova. It didn't work on Tosh. So here, Tosh is being killed by his old love that can no longer remember loving him. :\

Nova once used a massive mindblast to wipe out a large group of zerg during an early mission; it worked, but it also heavily damaged Tosh (physically and psionically). The upside was that it scrambled Tosh' brains in a good way as well, and it him immune to resoc and allowed him to shield his thoughts, even from powerful psionics with a Psi Index of 8-10. It also turned his eyes milky-white. Nova remained vulnerable to resoc, unfortunately.

@MrAlexofMetal You get Spectres instead of Ghosts, and you get to talk to Tosh all the way til the end. He provides a little foreshadowing and insight in between missions to help the plot moving. Personally, I don't use either unit, but I like having Tosh around the ship to talk to. In the Haven missions, it's just a preference of which research you want to max out more quickly. There seems to be less Protoss research early on, so I always pick the Protoss side.

You're wrong. Specter's- 15 damage, 20 armor. 2 weaponspeed. Ghost- 10 damage-20 damage light-1.5. So it is about the same. (Techinicaly) but I would say ghost are better because of their extra life and range. But their dps is higher in some respect.

Nova always was and still is my favorite SC character, not just for the good looks, but also for her background-story (For those that want to know more about her, there is a whole Novel about her ^_^). So it was a real easy choice for me, but that she killed off that stupid ugly Tosh after siding with her, was a REAL bonus! I disliked him from the moment he set foot on my Raynors' ship; good riddance him. I hope that when the story is progressed by Blizzard that they go with this plot option.

not if u used communication devices based around quantum entanglement. Look it up some time. The main principal behind it is 2 atoms (or two halves of the same atom. not sure which) are somehow connected. When you do something specific(don't remember what) to one of the "entangled atoms" the other instantly reacts. no matter the distance. So if you could read the reactions of the atom. you could send and receive information in real time. Mass effect used this idea on the remade Normandy.
