In this video I complete the mutation mission on the brutal difficulty using Nova as the co-op commander.

Couple points about playing Nova: Upgrade goliath upgrades, those are sick. Also in the end game it is a good idea to sack workers to get more supply for army :)

If you upgrade your goliaths ability that stuns air target you can stun the pirate ships and kill them with 1 goliath

The civilians are so short... or Nova is irregularly tall. The average man's height is 5'10 and the civilians reach her hip, so Nova is about 9-10 feet tall?

I’d say it’s more of a case of artistic license to make her stand out more on the map, though I wouldn’t discount the suit, bio-engineering and plenty of exercise making her taller than the average.

Hey Lowko, I noticed that you group your Ravens with your army, and this causes them to move forward in a fight, exposing them to fire from the enemy's back lines. Seeing as to how your number 2 group is left empty, would you try to group Ravens into that group, and then assigning them to follow one of the Goliaths (which have extreme range both for air and ground) so they're not too exposed to enemy fire?

If the civilians don't reach the candy bowl in five minutes, they automatically turn into enemies.

I noticed the candy cost more when you have more, so keeping the bowl as low as possible is the strategy to go with.

You missed out on the overpowered goliath upgrade, and you should really just put the ravens on a seperate control group and then just set them to follow your army around. And as for stance dance, microing nova in assault mode is hillariously strong, you can blink her into a group of small enemies and kill them all, and then just let her soak damage. Kinda important for her army cause they're so limited. Really its weird to see you not micro your units, I do it almost obsessively.

I find Raven's spells to help a bunch too... I use the turrets like force-fields to zone out enemy melee units, works great! And I snipe with those OP Seeker Missiles that fire off instantly. The way I play it's common to not lose a single unit and to have the most kills on Ravens. I keep Nova in a second group entirely, solely in stealth mode, with a posse of spec ops ghosts tasked only for taking down hybrids with snipes.

you need to use ur sabotage drone more, it should almost always be of cooldown :) since it has a special type of stealth it will not be detected and you can controll it by marking it before it lands :) it gives you an edge and is super powerfull ^^ hope my message was understandable since english is not my main language ^^

Mikkel Wolfhagen Because upgrades are useless for Lowko. He is in GrandMaster and Platinum league, remember? Lowko uploads his plays so others can learn from him, not the other way around, get it? Level 12 Nova, Lowko definitely know what to get and upgrades, HE CHOSE NOT TO.

Yeah, that's probably what he meant, or at least what he does. E.g. when the enemy is retreating he quickly cycles through his hotkeys, etc.

Of course in big battles you always look at the fight, but say you're defending against a Marine drop or whatever. You don't keep looking at that when you sent your forces there and run your Drones. You should be splitting your army to defend the rest of the push, the Drop will be cleaned up just fine.

Nova's Goliaths are kinda cheaty in some cases. They can permanently stun-lock flying mechanical units(And ground units that can be attacked by anti-air), such as pirate ships, or transports on gate-mission, forgot the name.

I'm God Yeah, but why you want to nerf things in co-op, this mod is supposed to be fun, and I think the more commanders and maps will come, the more crazy things will there be, so after some time Nova will be only remembered as a once OP hero. Or maybe not, her mastery lvls that all of her units can regenerate and Griffin strike cost less, makes her much more OP.

You should really have a hotkey for your army and not use the all army hotkey. You keep losing your ravens because your use the all army hotkey and then a-move across the enemy forces. Then the ravens go to where you clicked which is in the middle of the enemy army and then they die.

Vector67 Many suggestions has been said to Lowko about that particular Ravens and hotkeys from the first time He used Nova and yet nothing has been adopted. He think he is too good to listen from others. You can read all the suggestions from his post using Nova in coop missions.

Zerg players don't need to use hotkeys for the main army, and he has no intent to change his main race, so getting used to using those hotkeys is, as far as ladder is concerned, a waste of time. it bugs me too, but it's not because he's a dick.

As zerg, you'd use separate hotkeys for infestors; if you a-move them with your army you're gonna lose them... On the other hand, you can get away with not hotkeying ravens. They're really easy to select when they fly over enemies as you a-move. Then spam turrets and seeker missiles and go back to microing your army. The ravens will live.

He was saying it in the video that he was deliberately going for an a-move army style because of the mutator making vision impaired. He just wanted the ravens for their auto-cast heals and he wanted them to stay near his main army so that is why he was using select all army hotkey. He said it in the video and yet there are so many people complaining.

Mường Trịnh I have never waited too long for coop on SEA server. Only when Nova came out, everyone wanted to play Nova and there was a long queue. But normally Game starts very fast for me. Even in the morning, I queue for coop and got match less than 1 minute. Or maybe I am lucky one. I believe BattleNet will merge SEA and Asian server in the future anyway, like they did to New Zealand server, merged to SEA. You will see regular decent players on SEA. Small list of players but decent ones.

You play Nova so different to me XD I focus Goliaths and thier upgrades in the factory, use just Marines from barracks and Banshees and Ravens from Starport. i occasionally put liberators and Hellbats in depending on the enemy composition

luke talbot I found Siege Tanks the best against Trains, their 18 range is insane. Just build 4 of them on each track and build some turrets in front of them, from time to time use some of their infinite spider mines and thats everything you need on this mission. Same with Stetmann, just cover two entrances with Siege Tanks and turrets :-P.

luke talbot I also like Nova's assault mode, aoe basic attack, aoe q ability and with each blink you gain 200 shields, with defensive drone you have almost immortal hero and if something goes wrong, insta revive to the battle. Her decoy is the most powerful ultimate ability I ever saw in co-op missions. When properly used and you have time to use her, its better hero than Alarak in combat.
