Man the first match was ridiculously brutal. Non stop fighting from minute 1 while macroing like gods, after even 5 minutes of that a normal person would be absolutely spent. No wonder pro gamers train their stamina. ..isn't this the series where serral gets 3-0'd? Should be.

46:15 If I remember correctly, Blizzard changed that. Before yes, Drilling Claws gave Widow mines the invisibility when burowed. Now, since a while, invisibility rely only on the fact that you have an Armory on the map. If you lose the Armory, you lose the invisibility even if you have the upgrade.

1. Command centers have armored shells on the outside. Their soft underbelly is vulnerable, if the land on a zerg unit, they can chew themselves inside the command centre and destroy everybody inside. 2. When zergs burrow, they destabilize the ground with the tunnels, command centers can only land on flat, solid surface. 3. This is a game with rules created by Blizzard. Pick one.

If you watch, it looks like Maru saw how Clem was beating down Zerg, especially Serral. Realizing he could do that easily and so did his own version. Which is constant agression, use your Marine Medvac as far away from each as possible (ie opposite sides of the map). Then just keep it up, so that if you don't always make the best trades. The Zerg player starts to crumble, because they can't take the constant sesawing back and forth, while constantly losing creep and Queens.

Lol 10 min infestor. That’s not for Starcraft 2 works. You don’t just make units you feel like making at any point in the game, you only do that when lategame happens, not when you’re behind and trying to scrape an army together to survive. Pro level not equal bronze league

Infestor doesnt help against Mine, Lurker does, and Serral was on his way to Lurker tech. Maru just hit him way too hard and too soon, it was an 8-rack pressure on 3 base with double factory mines, meaning Zerg will have to spend everything on lingbane army and upgrade, and cant afford to tech up elsewhere.

Looks like Maru found that Serral's consistency can be beaten consistently by the 2-1-1. Im sure Serral will find a way to adjust though in the future. Still amazing job by Maru. Terran looking good against zerg when it skips the helions and just puts on constant pressure with expansion. He's somehow avoiding the pack of queens which is the strongest unit in the game by just knowing where Serral will be. I doubt he'll do as well against Raynor with the 2-1-1 since he mixes it up more than Serral.

Me too, Helions are pretty much useless after Serral getting either Roach or Bane out, and Terran is better off with 20 Marines than 10 Helion. If Terran can keep those Marines alive, which Maru did for the most part, they gave a much bigger punch together with the Tanks or Mines push later. Reynor at the top of this game, will probably micro better to prevent the Queen from dying and getting better trade to be able to get into mid-game at better position. But current Reynor is not doing well lately, probably because of him taking that 3-4 weeks vacation last month.

Ever since wings of liberty I really dislike the ability of transport units (medivacs, warp prisms and overlords) to pick up all units simultaneously. The ability to move large amounts of army quickly around the map without caring for terrain and with little or no cost seems broken to me. I think that forcing units to load one at a time would encourage more positional play from terrans, as opposed to this high APM base hopping that does not seem to have a real answer beyond trying to minimize damage taken.

Hey. Just wanted to say that it might be a cool idea to add anti spoiler "footage" to your youtube videoes. 30 min of a blank screen saying "Anti spoiler" after the game is finished. It's rare that i watch 1 hour videoes without tabbing out once. When I see Maru win game 1 and we're 30 min into the 1 hour video, it doesn't take a genius to know who wins. Not sure how much of an issue it would be(Upload time, storage etc) but it would be really nice. I really love watching SC, but I do lose motivation to watch the entire video if i know who wins just because i accidentaly see the game time.

this game was so good! Maru is so different with Terran; he takes all the assaults and stays aware, maintaining his cool. He keeps on pressuring, draining resources and switches from Medevac-Marine to Siege tanks to Widow mines to Ghosts. It is like he knows what the opponent will be making a minute ahead of time.

If serral is going to stick with bane and lings, he needs to incorporate some drop harassment in the mix to keep the terran on his toes. The marine drop harassments are what ultimately won the games for maru. Even a couple baneling drops here and there would make the world of difference...

It's to prevent opponents from building things on the bottom of the ramp and blocking you in at the early game, which is what terrans used to do as a strategy to contain you into one base.
