Nice cast, and this was an awesome tournament put on by Wardi and Harstem. I like to think it was partly inspired by my comment suggesting a pro-level 0.25x or 0.5x speed tournament, sped up and cast at normal speed, to approximate Alphastar-level APM :) Also 22:07 this is a great map for broodlords and in part because of how easy the mid-map base at 22:07 is to siege from the air

For this tournament the only limitations for teams is a limit of 5 people per team and at least 2 players per team. No MMR cap. That's why Maru, Byun, Ryung, and Gumiho were able to play together.

Nice. Lots of muta play. I love it. Also the zerg being controlled by a hive mind is very appropriate to lore. Though, I feel such mode would work best on bigger maps specifically made for it. This was great, but with that level of control there was no space for anything except positional warfare. That amount of missile turret, lol.

For Terran, clearing creep requires a joint effort from both the builder and the unit controller, that's why the creep spread was so rdiculous.....if only they could build one Raven

Speed only matters only for zerg players. Spellcasters being the big reason why. Early and sustained aggression is how non-zerg races can gain the upper hand on zerg that has immaculate late game.

I love archon mode! I would love to see archon mode with AI’s vs grand masters. I’d be interested to see how exactly the APM curve reveals exactly how my apms Yield an advantage. Right, like after the 1k range, given the limitations of map size, movement speed, max supply, and other game mechanics at some point apm’s just have literally no impact on the game.
