We've seen Dark execute Proxy Hatcheries versus Protoss frequently but also every once in a while against Terran. Now he does it against Zerg as well? In this game of StarCraft 2 I cast a match between the South-Korean players Dark and soO.

@@JuJuBee2006 queens also can heal it up though and its not like they are doing much else. Larva isn’t that important in late game zvz cause the pushes take forever and everyone is spamming lurker viper and not like creep is an issue in a zvz lol

​@@Name-ru1kt I don't quite understand your point. The increased amount of Evo chambers allows Dark to make a mistake due to being focused on another area of the map, and lose an Evo or two. Where soO was using his hive, and couldn't handle the stress.

Dark over the last few months has been my new favorite all time player. These non-standard + incorporating his own way of thinking in sc2 and it's just so beautiful to force games into a different logic tree for both players. Which makes these games so interesting from the unknowing of outcomes from a viewer perspective.

The spine crawler rush actually worked and put dark at an advantage though. Upgrade thing was also very good if he actually pushed. If he went for push the instant 2/1 finished I bet he could of easily won. Like 2/1 against +1 even with defender advantage….

As someone who only watches SC2 and never plays I have a question: Why is ZvZ so figured out? Is it that simple? Watching the video it feels to me there is little "counter play" in ZvZ but a lot of "mirror play" compared to other mirror lineups.

Lack of defense mechanics and the nature of zerg macro means that mistakes get brutally punished This in turn forces a typically rigid build order, early game and transitions

I think you kind of dropped the ball several times throughout this cast, Lowko. You missed soO's enormous resource advantage in the middle of the match. You missed the addition of vipers by both players in preparation for lurker wars. You misinterpreted the roach use and sacrifices on the approach to said lurker wars. You almost missed the 25 lurker piggy bank smash. You missed Dark firing his economy back up after said piggy bank smash. You missed soO's supply block... I get that this is a shoutcast and not a play-by-play cast. But being aware of what's going on in the game you're casting should probably be a priority, espeically given how little _different_ stuff happens in a mirror. Still love you. Still grateful for the content. Please, pay attention.

well z v z, tripple parasitic bomb on unupgrade overlords that are in an overlord fleet pretty much is game.. lol you just send your army in and then you can rebuild, so you get quite teh advantage as a zerg play with supply. mutas are good, against zerg... forces out hydralisks.. into lurker but then yo ucna go broods... its all veery dependent... ina z vz match defensively... if you think or see a nydus, having burrowed bannelign cluster ot instant kill the building from hitting your main is a good option. defense is always ituational... lurkers can be devastating, but imo, most zvz shoudl end up air since its better in so many ways... air and lings...

I gotta say... watching people essentially FF games that feels like they could keep going feels so weird... like that is totally encouraged in 1v1 games... It makes a little more sense when your whole army just got demolished or when a giant army shows up at your door and takes a battering ram, but here it felt early? I guess that's why team games are more popular with Esports... one player can't FF for the whole team, ending the match early and losing any hype.

@@parrycarry You can't win late game zvz without vipers, so if you kill your hive and you are also losing small skirmishes all around, you won't probably be able to recover :)

zerg vs zerg is trash. its probably the worst match up to watch and i cant even imagine players playing it. i think thats why ppl just want to cheese to get it over with. think about it for a bio/living race. why the hell do they share a bunch of stuff? like ur body isnt gonna let foreign objects use your body easily. the fact that creep is shared evenly is really stupid. its not even a different color to tell whose creep is whose as a viewer. like ohh yeah just build on my creep. oh ur units get the benefits of my creep? cool.... u would think creep should give an advantage to the one whose creep it is. maybe the speed isnt as good for the invader. maybe u cant build as fast or burrow as fast on enemy creepy. something man!!! its also sad that zvz just becomes freaking tvt. either u win super fast with fast units or u turtle and slow push. look at this game. roaches, with lurkers and hydras. ohh look ravagers. u get that or the complete opposite with ling bane. thats all the zvz u pretty much get. its just tvt with less attacking units to work with.

If creep is not shared turtling is just gonna be easier in zvz lol. No way your slow ass lings or roaches can do anything on the opponent's side against their much faster units with the support from queen. So macro up and wait for your opponent to make a mistake in the late game would be the only way to play zvz. Is that what you want?
