Uhhh…. You must not have read “Art of War”. Sun Tzu was against seiges.

If you were so well-informed about Chinese history, you'd know that siege tech was god-awful when Sun Tzu wrote the Art of War. That's the main reason he disliked siege warfare. Additionally, he only said a siege is a last resort, not that it's inherently bad. He prefers winning without a battle first and foremost, and that's literally not possible in this situation. The game is literally a battle. If Sun Tzu was thrown into a SC2 match, he'd be just fine with sieging.

the disruptor ball is programmed like a unit itself, kind of like a baneling, and so it also gets a speed increase in the zone. It's hard to see here, but it does slow down when it exits it.

Maybe its not true, but why do so many (most?) Protoss Pros skip the Photon Cannon in the mineral line? I can't remember a single Protoss-Pro-Game where the Protoss secured their ML against things like widow mine drops or banshees. Zerg almost always build the spore, terran almost always builds the missile tower- why not Protoss?

Vikings should have a late-game upgrade that changes their attack to be like the cyclone, where they can lock-on to targets at normal range and then continue to fire at them from a farther range, but they fire only one at a time. Makes your vikings worse for raw damage, but you can really punish overextending air units.

I think EMP is a little bit too strong against Protoss. It hard-counters High Templars and Archons, soft-counters Dark Templars (by revealing them), and has massive range and area. It actually makes Feedback look terrible, given how pitiful Feedback damage is and that it only affects one unit. I think it's a little strange that Protoss has the worst spellcaster options. Psi Storm is great, of course, but really all they have going for them. You would think that the highly advanced race of psionic aliens would have more spellcaster options than they do.

@@LowkoTV Maybe it's my skill level, but Psi Storm and Forcefield are the only spells I ever get any real traction from. Vipers and Infestors always seem to put in so much work with Abduct, Fungal, Blinding Cloud, Parasitic Bomb and the rare Neural. It can be amazingly frustrating to try to deal with that much combat utility. I've always felt like Ghosts are the best spellcaster unit in the game, with damage, utility, invisibility and nukes all packed into one unit. I'm about as far from a pro player as you can get, but when I'm on Protoss (I also play Zerg, but I don't have the micro skills to play Terran) I mostly just play Skytoss and use Disruptors for splash damage. When I'm on Zerg, though, I'm excited about getting Infestors and Vipers on the field, and Queen Transfuse can be so darn clutch in critical fights. You're the expert here. If I'm thinking about this wrong I'm open to feedback (pun intended). Protoss has been my favorite race, but I find myself playing Zerg more these days because it feels like I have more options at every stage of the game except for the very late game.

Huh? Protoss has way too many spellcasters and abilities if anything - it makes them frustrating to use and reliant on them. The Ghost is supposed to counter HT - it is an expensive late game anti-caster unit. If you haven't reached Masters with any race yet the spellcaster balance question doesn't factor into the difficulty of your games yet.

I think if you legitimately trained Lowko, especially with your knowledge of the game, you could be a pro! You don’t give yourself near enough credit! And on the other hand, I don’t think most pro players could cast like you can.
