i loved what they did with the ending video, because in the OG we never seen the Confederacy fight the Zerg or the planet being overrun or anything like that, we just know that its happening, but in the ending video, we see how we really fucked over the Confederacy and Mengsk just sold out an entire world just so he can get his revenge and rise to power and then we as the player get to see what we have done

@@k-leb4671 He calculated that she wasn't fully loyal to him only because she repeatedly objected to the use of the Psi emitters,. Also a lesser known fact is that Kerrigan actually killed Mengsk's father when she was with the confederacy years ago. So he had a vendetta against her from the start.

@@k-leb4671 I misread Jim's comment at first, too. I think he meant that the official novel, "Liberty's Crusade" kinda explained how Mengsk determined Kerrigan would no longer be on his side, not that the cut scene explained that. Like, the cutscene is from the novel, and other parts of the novel explained that additional backstory.

Cool mission, I love seeing these, it's like when they recover a new Dr. Who tape of some past season thought lost to history. And the cutscene at the end, just spectacular. It brings living color to the old SC1 campaign in a way we didn't see before, enhancing an already excellent, classic game. Good stuff.

best way for me was to attack black first then purple, this prevents you from being hit from behind when attacking Orange's stronger defenses. (like you did in this video.)

This mission is quite easy. Don't go frontal through their strong defenses! You don't have to destroy everything just factories and starports. Go first north east and attack with siege tanks from above, then descend and destroy remaining production. Don't go north from there! There's nothing there except of defenses. Then go back where you started, slightly north west, south and this way you'll avoid second defense line. Then go all the way north for their last production line. Avoid defense lines and don't worry about destroying command centers and other buildings than starports and factories.

Good strategies. One extra thing though - it is worth destroying the CC's as well because that triggers reinforcements for you.

I was wondering what's triggering reinforcements! Also I recommend playing online. After just one tournament even high difficulty single-player campaign level is doable

Its a shame that they cut this mission. The use of psi-emitters makes more sense in this mission then the previous one.

I just quit after having half my army taken out after 10 minutes. I don't like missions like these - if you don't know the map layout and AI behaviour beforehand, it feels basically impossible...

Honestly one of the worst missions gameplaywise in the whole mod. It just comes down to retrying the mission over and over again until you learn the enemy tank position. I get why it got removed from the game.
