Dehydrator is given in the mushroom cave for free so the best start would be riverlands farm for fish cooker and mushroom cave whenever you get the cave

I played the meadowlands farm for a lil while and now I'm starting a new save with the Riverland Farm. The Riverland Farm comes with a free fish smoker and in my previous save I was making tons of money with just smoked fish.

I started a new farm in 1.6 and I'm actually both the furthest I've ever gotten (middle of Winter year 3) and the closest to Perfection I've ever gotten (90%, only missing the golden clock). First time getting achievements like catching every fish, shipping every item on the list, crafting every creatable item, cooking every recipe and completing all monster eradication goals. I've seen and used, or at least crafted everything that you mentioned except the fireworks. It's honestly insane, both how much variety the new systems like Mastery, books, EVERYTHING around fishing, trinkets and so much more introduce into the game, and how this was supposed to be an update "mostly to make modding easier". So I would've expected maybe a 10th of the new content. CA outdoing himself again :D. Also, this is the first time where I actually try to make my farm look decent and EXCUSE ME HOW DO YOU MAKE YOURS SO BEAUTIFUL 😂. Guess this is my reminder that I suck at decorating both irl and in games 😅.

the treasure totem is for much more than fun my friend. Once u have the archeology book (that makes artifacts sell for like 3x) and put Archeologist enchantment on your Hoe, those totems will be phat money makers. Imagine having a stack of 999 of those totems and going to the beach and doing nothing but spamming those totems all day long....how much money do you think that would make in a single day? ( I fully expect to see a video of exactly this from some stardew content creator before long. )

The mushroom log thing is such a kick to the balls for people(including myself) who picked the mushroom cave instead of the fruit cave. whelp i know what im picking for the meadow farm. dont know if concernedape address that or is in the update notes but he should change the mushroom cave cuz it makes it irrelevant now thanks to the mushroom log

Yeah I was thinking the same especially because you can get the mushroom log pretty early and then completing the community centre makes sense to do fruit. Maybe the dehydrator for mushrooms makes us incentivized to still take mushrooms for the money though?!
