These videos are so, so helpful! The patterns are very clear but sometimes you just need to see it to really get it.

I'm loving this pattern! And I was wondering where you got your crochet hook? I want one like that!!😁
@PocketPet4 жыл бұрын
Just before 23:09 (end of Round 6), did you mean to say to slip-stitch into the first stitch (and not to single crochet)? Love your work and loving this CAL even three years later. I’ve only been crocheting for six weeks, but I’m picking up so many skills just from Begin the Beguine and this. (I’ll definitely be buying the book as soon as I get a momentum going.) Thank you!

Polly I really love this block....can it be made into a afghan by continuing from round 15th?
@everytrickonthehook43046 жыл бұрын
Yes! Just continue the pattern sequence of two rounds of sc followed by the round with the htrs and go as long as you like. I've seen at least one large afghan made from this pattern.

Great videos so much work, I’m finding easy looking at you doing it, but when I try it I can’t see where the stitches are, mine doesn’t look as loose and clear 🙄 would that be my tension? Front stitches and back stitches aren’t clear in my square like on yours don’t know what I’m doing wrong
@sandrasmith45395 жыл бұрын
Catherine Fox. It could be your tension. But it's possible that you are not placing your stitches in 'back loop only'. You'll want the stitches to be firm. But not real tight. I had some issues when I first started this pattern. Mostly because I couldn't get past the 'stitch in only one loop of stitch'. If you still need help. Look for her Facebook page 'Every Trick on the Hook'. She has a group that is full of lovely ladies who can help, if she doesn't respond quickly. Happy crocheting!

Sandra Smith thanks so much Sandra, so nice of you to reply to my question, Il try that.
@sandrasmith45395 жыл бұрын
Remember that the stitches that stand out are 'front loop only' . The stitches that make the bar across the front are the front loops of the stitches that are crocheted in the back loop.

looks great. I was wondering though where is block 2
@everytrickonthehook43047 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I should have clarified in the notes - the CAL has a free part and a paid part so this is one of the free patterns. Every other block, including block 2, is available exclusively through the Stardust Melodies eBook available on Ravelry.com.

Help! Trying to get the video for square 8, says it is unavailable. I purchased your ebook and have made several squares. I have watched some of the exclusive videos with no problem, but this one won’t come up using the address in the ebook.

Got it! I must have typed it wrong. When I copied and pasted, it worked fine. Sorry to have bothered you.

Can I substitute the magic ring with just chains?
@everytrickonthehook43046 жыл бұрын
Alice Anthony, absolutely! If you have any problems with it sitting flat, just weave the end through the base of the round 1 stitches and pull it tight to close the hole.
