Stunning artwork! Do you cut your intricate designs (like the coy fish) out with jewellery saw? And how do you achieve the surface design? :))

Finally find you (said it was coming in March, but not where...)and then all Mantas sold out. Good for you Basia!! I hope you are making more! Boo hoo for me. I saw your prices and you are charging WAYYYY too little, double it up (at least!) beautiful jeweler, your work is stunning and you deserve to be paid for your talent!!! I must say, your channel is absolutely one of my top 5 most favorites, just adore you and your work. Question: What size silver sheet do you prefer for your applique work?
@TheArtOfMetalsmithing4 жыл бұрын
ahh, sorry! This was an old vlog that I've filmed at the end of January haha 😄 I didn't have the date for the second part of the collection yet. It comes out on this Saturday (21st March). I always announce everything on Instagram, it's the best place to follow the updates 😀 As for the pricing, it is a tricky topic. I try to use fair pricing, but for now kept it on the lower side. Your support in this matter means a lot! Thank you xx As for the sheet, that depends, sometimes use 0.50mm or 0.70mm 😊

Hiya Lady Stardust, what has changed for you? Thin Redline noticed as well, you are smiling a lot more and yes you are beautiful when you smile! No wonder someone was looking in. The new collection is worth smiling about though, so? What great work Basia you are a wonderful artist with pen and metalworking tools! I can't decide which piece I love best though so... I'll have to love them all. The new level with the engraving, wow, I love it, it adds such a great depth to already amazing work! Wow! The Koi fish look so beautiful in the daylight! Stunning work. I was trying find the Japanese song you have at the end. From my limited Japanese it mentions the beach/ocean (rather fitting). Did you chose the song intentionally?
@TheArtOfMetalsmithing4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Page! 😍 I love this song too! The song is called 316 by Macaroom, from Swimming Classroom, it's so beautiful. I chose the song intentionally of courseeee haha 😀 No, I didn't know the meaning of the words, but for some reason it felt just right and like it fits. I'm so glad it turned out to be true! 🤗 Thank you for letting me know xx

I was curious, how many of each design do you usually make and how long are your collections out? Thank you! You’re amazing.
@TheArtOfMetalsmithing3 жыл бұрын
It depends! 😁 Sometimes I will try to make several pieces of something, like the little Manta Ray necklace for example, when I have more similar gemstones that allow me to repeat the design. But if I only have one unique stone, or the design is complicated, I will only make one jewellery piece. Sometimes I also make just one on purpose, to make it one of a kind! Finished jewellery pieces are in the shop until they sell out 🥰 I hope this answers your question 🙏
