As far as the concern at 9:31, if worried about your stolen loot being confiscated, if you sell it at the Trade Authority and then go to the buyback menu, it removes the stolen tag. I only wish there was like a 10% or more price markup for this since it would make that more lore friendly; kind of a black market service fee.

To get rid of the stolen status of an item just sell it at the Trade Authority and instantly buy it back for the same amount and it won't have the stolen mark on it anymore.

You can also throw any mod on a stolen weapon or armor part and it removes the stolen status as well. Usually bumps up the value a tiny bit while making it available for any vendor if you don't feel like going to the Den or the Crimson Fleet.

I found a legendary Grendel early game with a shotgun effect. 1 bullet spits out 5ish, the recoil is insane but the damage is crazy up close

I found the N67 smartgun organically on my playthrough and it obliterates everything even without heavy weapon perks - definitely agree about Grendels being worse, I found the same on testing!

I dont like the Grendals, I would like to find a good Drum Beat though, could be awesome with the right perks. I use My rare Beowolf right now for distance, Modified Maelstrom with white hot rounds and high fire rate for mid range and a game version of a desert eagle for close work. until I find better. for mobs I like to use a purple(epic) Bridger I think its called,looks like a shotgun, shoots like a grenade launcher. incendiary and concussive.

Binary trigger is awesome. I found an advanced eon with double mag capacity. Slapped a drum mag on it and its wrecks lol. Not as good as other guns, but its definitely a fun one to use. Ashta tamer was one i used all the way up to the final story quest as well.

I have been playing with a XM2311 you get from the first contact mission and a advanced AN99. Boom boom has been like my oh crap gun when something just needs to be deleted because it feels almost like I am cheating with boom boom (even at level 17). I do wish 45acp was more common then it is since it just feels so good to use the 1911/XM2311 along with the XM2311 also getting laugh out of me as someone who appreciates firearm design and history. If a firearm can have enough staying power to get a version made 400 years after the original then it is certainly John Moses Brownings Colt 1911... we allread have a 2011 so why not a 2111, 2211, and a 2311... " 2 worl wars, an apocalypse and a galactic colony war!!'

I bought an advanced regulator early game, like lvl 12 maybe, and here at lvl 30 I am still using it. It has 7 mod spots but I have not even used them yet. 165 phys. It is my one hit wonder. I love pistol builds.

The binary trigger mod actually works differently to how you describe it, a binary trigger mod makes the gun fire on trigger pull and again on release so if you only want to fire off 1 shot you have too hold the trigger then release when you want to fire the next shot although its best on somthing high powered like dead eye so you can just trigger spam and dump the full mag center mass.

So if you hold to fire one shot, does it shoot another when you inevitably have to release the trigger? Or does it not shoot again if you hold it for a bit ?

The damage per round for the semi auto rifles seems like a more efficient route than the high fire rate/low damage guns. Like the Beowulf vs the Microgun.

If you have stolen gear that you want to keep, but don't want to be caught with and lose, you can clean the stolen tag from it. Sell it to the Trade Authority and buy it back during the SAME transaction for the same price. Do NOT back out of the sale menu between selling it and buying it or you'll have to buy it back at full price. Save first just in case.

Another one to get if you dont want to do faction quests just yet is trickshot. It can rip through ememys pretty good and its effect it has allows you to fire a second round every fourth shot and you can pick this gun up at anytime

Just wait until you find a good Grendel. Mine does 41 dmg has a silencer and recon scope. Top 3 in my inventory. Number has gotta be coachman with flechette rounds and lawgiver I found that does 205dmg

The magshot you can loot doing the first ebbside strikers mission is insanely powerful and you can get it almost immediately

The best pistol I've found was an XM-2311 variant I got on the Lair of the Mantis mission. It came with 4 mods and does 65dmg. Plus, one is the mods is armor-piercing rounds. I think the safe I found it in is either level or RNG based, because I've seen others post about a different, but still good pistol from that safe.

One of my first Gus that’s gonna make it to end game is an exotic/the yellow colour, mini gun that has the robotics thing and is electric so it stuns and slows enemy’s wich is awesome asf on a micro gun

Theres another pistol you can get for free if you have a high level of lockpicking from one of the main story character houses (not saying who because of spoilers but there name starts with v) it is the same type as the keelhauler but has depleted uranium rounds which makes it do around 260 but since it has space adept 400 when in space

I found a grendel at level 7 that is full auto and does 14 damage. It’s just a common, but I haven’t found any higher tier rarity ones with damage that high as a full auto. One I found is semi and it does 20 damage

The Peacemaker Spacesuit is a MUST for Rifle builds as its +10% to all rifle damage types *quest item had it drop from Rare-Legendary Quality so its good depending on what side picks you choose

If you mod any stolen weapon it will lose the red "Stolen" status and it won't become confiscated. Steal the two microguns in The Well and take them immediately to the lodge and just toss a tactical grip on both. Now they are yours.

More on pistols wanted to give a shout out to ace sidearm a pistol I found in the general store when you first get to new Atlantis lot of mods uses .27mm. Ammo so you basically never run out and it does 10% more damage to humans

I find that I am running out of ammo constantly (on very hard) for certain weapons, especially shotguns. Even when buying from every vendor I come across, and Im not about to cheese it buy resting 48 hrs to reset. You hardly get the ammo that you need because there is 20 different types in the loot table. Meanwhile I have 2k+ of crappy pistol or smg ammo which don't even scratch the mobs.

Don’t cheese it then. Fly to Venus and sleep a short bit there. Days fly by in the rest of the Galaxy and you can return to your usual merchants to purchase again.

Why is that cheesing it when it is actually part of how the game works ? You already got the solution on how to get all sorts of ammo easily. What other better "Non-Cheesy" solutions do you want ? Randomly go to other planets and pray you find the ammo then.

Just a heads up if you steal the microgun put any weapon mod on it and it will no longer be considered stolen. This also works for any weapon/armor

I think it's time to talk about melee. As far as I know, there are only 9 melee weapons, all knives and one axe, all one-handed. No unarmed weapons. As someone who loved engaging deathclwas and super mutant behemoths in melee combat, that's a problem. New big IP and no two-handed smashy melee weapon.

Just got the game, and I like it so far. Except I was annoyed that you can’t hot key empty hands. That bugged me in Fallout 4, when you couldn’t use fist weapons in power armor. But in this, there’s not even fist weapons… seems like a pretty big oversight to me. I’ll muddle through using the pause menu until there’s a mod for that. I’m pretty positive about the game compared to a lot of people, but that still made me kind of glad I got the game on Gamepass instead of paying full price for it.

I love the revenant at the end of the crimson fleet questline. That thing melts enemies super fast and has a nice bleed effect aswell. With mods on it it's crazy powerful. Can clear out an entire enemy base in like 2 clips.

I feel a little disappointed in the gun customization in Starfield. I've not invested a LOT of skill points into the skill yet, but it seems like there's not much new customization compared to Fallout 4? Unless other modifications are locked behind higher levels and you can't see them? I was expecting stuff like more guns having large mags, drum mags, quick eject mags, ect.

Correct surface deposits and underground veins or minerals.

So upgrading your scanner will let you see where the other minerals are on the planet section. And you can further away. But don’t quote me on this. But I think there’s perks that let you put extractors for the rarer minerals. And you can find them on you scanner. Veins of the rare minerals is what I’m referring to. So like the one and 2 star materials. I haven’t gotten into the 3 star materials yet. But for sure 1 and 2 star materials.
