IST IMPRESSIONS, this is not Cyberpunk 2077, ...Gamers 8n MASSES are not sitting around waiting for Bethesda/Microsoft to fix Starfield. Starfield main problem is LAME CHARACTERS, LAME STORY, LAME A.I. And none of these issues have been addressed, none. So, imo , This is a Mind fk, but, I know why I like a game, and why I hate a game. Yeah. Same. There has to be greater variety of POIs. Also we need Real space travel and communications - 1 min to travel between planets in same system. - 4 min to travel between systems. - During travel you can walk in your ship - Add Space random encounters - During travel you can be hailed by other ships - During travel you can encounter other ships that forces you to stop or get out of hyperdrive - During travel crew members can pick up signals and inform you of something interesting. This will give you an option to make a decision and change course. - During travel get phone video calls from known NPCs or faction groups. If they don’t make space travel interesting and unpredictable then I won’t get the game.

2:15 I still don't understand how anyone expects the exploration to improve. The core complaint in regards to the exploration has a lot to do with just the type of game it is. You could add 100 more POIs, and you would still have issues with coming across repeats. I think, expecting any sort of massive change in exploration is just setting yourself up for disappointment. Starfield isn't the same as Fallout or TES. Those take place on a very VERY small map. A tiny region. It's why they can pack everything into it and make it feel like no matter where you go there is something to discover and come across. How the heck does anyone legitimately expect Starfield to do something like that across 1,000+ planets and moons? The only way I could see them maybe finding some sort of balance would be to work on more POIs specifically around the major cities, so there is a lot more exploration you can do around those areas. But if you think the entire game's exploration is going to change, you have unrealistic expectations.

Exploration in Starfield is literally just searching for new POIs. There is nothing else to find on the planet surface. What many players don't realize, is that POI searching is best done from space via the planet map. There is NEVER a reason to actually land your ship and search for a new location on foot. Never. Just jump to a different system, look at the planet map, and land at whatever POI you are looking for. I don't know what the point of the new vehicles is going to be as long as this is true.

I mean. Those are thi gs they can change up in DLC I suppose. Personally I do like that they went for a sort of hopeful but grounded future, but agree certain aspects did feel quite sanitised. Like they were afraid to lean into the edgier aspects of their world. Especially regarding anything sexual. While the dancers on Neon are genuinely hilarious, it doesn't really scream "hedonistic" the way Neon really needs. It's not a deal breaker for me, but it does feel strange when you consider how fucked up they're happy to go with Fallout for example. Hopefully Shattered Space can start to bring some of that into Starfield, but it is unlikely that they're going to go back and 'remaster' for lack of a better word, the existing parts of the game.

I didn't really like Fallout 4's dialogue camera. I understood why they changed it, especially to show off the voiced protagonist, but the way they executed it felt off. I acknowledge their improvements. I have a few questions, though: 1) Have they fixed the issue with spacesuits not being required in no-atmosphere environments? 2) Have they fixed the issue with oxygen drain on planets that have an atmosphere where you don't need to wear a spacesuit? 3) Have they given a purpose to any of the procedurally generated cave locations? 4) Have they fixed the issue with falling through the ship floor as it takes off? 5) Did they remove the annoying "cut scenes" for every time you take off/land/dock? 6) Have they fixed the issue with power settings constantly resetting on ships? 7) Have they fixed the clipping through walls/floors to get access to the "cheat" chests? 8) Did they fix the inventory weight / ship inventory weight bug? 9) Have they added dlss3 frame generation feature? 10) Did they fix NPCs clipping/falling through ship floors? 11) Have they improved the romance options at all? 12) Have they made containers/lootables in the environment easier to differentiate between non-lootable/non-containers?

You can enjoy whatever you want, but that doesn't change the quality of a product or the practices of a company. Apple, for example, uses literal slave labor to manufacture their products and charges ridiculous prices for said products. They're literally charging a thousand dollars for a bent piece of stainless steel that mounts their newest monitor, something a machinist could make in a shop for a fraction of a fraction of the price, and probably make it better. Same goes for Bethesda. You must consider the state of the industry, where gaming is now post-Witcher 3. A smaller studio made an empirically better game the same year as Fallout 4, yet because of the mysticism behind Bethesda, people continue to support their products. And I was one of them. I stood in line on 11-11-11 for Skyrim's midnight release. I have the collector's edition of New Vegas (admittedly not Bethesda, but their IP). I have every Elder Scrolls game on PC, the exception being ESO. I dropped out of college once because how much I played Fallout 4 😅 If you truly love something, you're must to constructively criticize it. That's the only way we grow. And Bethesda has not grown, they're closer to EA anymore than the indie studio that put fans first twenty years ago.

The problem with outposts is its like a rube goldberg contraption to milk a cow, pasteurize the milk, and pour it in a jug in the most convoluted way possible but theres a super market right across the street. Its cool in that i like that you can build these big factories, but it serves no real purpose, is a huge time and perk point investment, and any rewards it gives can be bought for an insignificant amount of money in any city or even random settler outpost. There needs to be something i can do or experience with outposts that are unique to outposts for it to be worthwhile. Maybe add some kind of research projects for ship parts or weapons that requires ungodly amounts of resources you can only get from mass production or make some more quests like the drydock blues quests that actually pay more than random easy bounty board missions that reward you for the space capitalist playstyle or add settlers so you feel like you are really settling space instead of playing with a model train set.
