You may also need to delete the local 'reserved space' which is where mods are stored. I noticed that even with your mods all deleted, it still showed they were taking up 1.x Gb of space. Note that if you delete reserved space, it also deletes all your photo library if you do any in game photos. Just screen shot those if you want to save them to the xbox cloud.

Yea fallout 4 I learned the hard way to clear my reserve space before reinstalling mods, I see it as a necessary precaution to avoid file corruption.

@@CREATURES59 look it up for exact instructions. It’s the same for all Xbox games. But it’s in the manage game and add ons area. Click the hamburger button when you have the game selected from the home menu. Then click on saved data. Then click on reserved space. It will ask if you want to delete it. Confirm and you’re done

Xbox player here (approx 140 non Star Wars mod load order). Some things that folks might see that can be worked around. The floating heads and hands, or even the rare walking legs. Just legs. 9/10 times I can clear this with a save, exit, close game, restart game. Next is weapons firing sounds silenced. 2 things with this one. First, if using SKK quick start, and you test fire as soon as you have control of your character. Weapons can be silent because the quick start hasn’t actually finished. There is a prompt that will let you know. I’ve even had to wait an additional few minutes after it’s done and test fire various weapons but it would shake itself out. Second, if it’s not that and your weapons are just straight up silent for good. Don’t toss that load order, just do the game save, exit, close, and restart and again, very often it will get itself together and sound right. The update function does work now. However, when you do, you’ll see the same things I mentioned above. Basically after every interaction with CC, go into your game, verify the awkward glitches, allow them to show, save/exit, close out the game and restart it nice and easy. No sudden moves. 🤣👍 Catch a smile out there. o7

@@circuitscore Even though you get a prompt and see and hear the game “restart” itself at the main menu when leaving CC, there is something about the see the glitch, full close, and restart that the game likes. It’s as if it’s recognizing some little thing when it does it, and works itself through it. Now this is very easy to say after many, many hours of tweaking this load order. That was done in a large part with your help, so thank you. Organizing the order was all you. And the hard part is keeping mods away from eachother. Only way around this is to understand that foundation mod and then altering mod interaction. It’s the only reason I was able to get through the 120 mod “ceiling”. So again, thank you. @@TheGreatBadger58 Experienced something similar with research station and workbenches. Either there is no prompt, or there is but the game fails the animation into function and dumps me back in normal view. This was because I had adjusted all my FOVs in settings. I keep one of the views at default all the time now. Usually 3rd person over the shoulder. For this very reason. Also, dude moves around a lot, especially when close to him. I have to time it and catch him usually with his back turned. Because once he moves, you ain’t triggering interaction with him. Hope this helps. Catch a smile out there. o7

I should also add, that having a load order like mine, means that every change I make to it, almost always requires a reserved space delete and manual clearing of all load saves in the main menu. I have to start a new run everytime I mess with it. At this point, I’ve started several dozen. It’s too much for the previous saves and files to deal with. The game will not let you even get to the gameplay before it completely closes out on its own, back to home screen. This is the price I have to pay to hold that many mods. Xbox user(haven’t had these issues yet, got 62 mods downloaded and I have a little frame rate drops but other than that it works wonderfully. This was a big fear for me though so awesome to see this video. Great work

To be honest I’ve never modded my game yet..a few of my friends have and told me they were having issues and the game still has some issues without mods so until that’s better I’m staying clear. I’m 70 my brain is no longer a sponge so I just stay vanilla. Nice informative video and I shall pass it on. Thanks for your time and effort and as always take care stay safe ✌️

Appreciate the kind words! One thing you could do is create a hard save (not auto or quick save) which could be your vanilla save and other save to mess with mods especially if you are worried about achievement disabling. This way you could have the best of both worlds. I will warn that modding can be frustrating and a bit of trial and error however it can also be very rewarding once everything is running smoothly.

Nice Xbox wrap. I noticed Amazon has a NZXT Starfield tower. I'm going to have to watch this several times to wrap my head around it. PC only. Just getting over Covid and still have a little brain fog. Thanks for the video! Don't really know if my issues are with Creations mods or not. The Heart of Mars for me was bugged again. Can't get my penthouse at Aphelion Realty. The lady just stands there looking at me then walks off. Workaround? Several other annoyances that popped up since I started using Creations mods.

Thanks! Pre ordered that one as soon as it was released. You can still get that one off Microsoft's website. Essentially save your load order to Bethesda.net (Make sure you are logged in), delete all mods, power cycle Xbox (if on PC just restart game), then start Starfield and restore your load order from Bethesda.net. I will say this is not a one size fits all fix. There are still a TON of issues with some mods not working whether that is an issue with the latest update, developer not updating the game, or other mods interfering with specific mods.

The best way I have found to get my 100+ mods to load without issue and without having to delete mods is.... 1. Have a save with the mods u want active and in the correct load order prepared. 2. Go into creations and disable all the mods. 3.DO NOT GO TO MAIN MENU, instead when u close the game do it whilst still in the creations menu. I go xbox dashboard and then quit the game using the settings button on xbox control. 4. Load the game up and DO NOT go into creations, instead load your prepared modded save and when it tells you that the save has mods that are not activated but are installed, do you want to activate them? Click 'YES'. If it asks you to use ur current or saves load order then go current. Works a charm. 100% of the time for non load order, or mod conflict issues

Have you noticed whether this is helping/fixing this "invisible" cap we have on how many mods we can have? So far the most I've been able to have before game crashing was around 102-104 mods. Now for some reason I can only get up to around 81-82 mods before crashing. I've seen others talk online of this invisible cap, some folk been able to get up around 110 mods, and I read that some have been lucky to get up around 130-140 mods.

@ZombiUnikorn3 so I just counted and I have 115 mods installed and running using my method. I can easily break my game if I add certain mods and have spent countless hours testing and getting the list to run together. Often when i have crashes its because of LO issues or mod conflicts as opposed to the amount of mods i have. Just the amount obviously means more potential conflicts. E.g. i couldn't get the 'into the grindfield' mods active without causing issues. It also took me forever to get the better ship camera mod to work.without crashing my game. My LO mainly consists of outpost, ship, texture,and clothing mods. I'm on series X .

@@EzeyCarter ok, I will try your method today. Most of my mods are also ship, outpost, apparel mods, couple POI mods, couple Player Homes, and the Biome grindterra mod, with a few cheat mods. Along with the unofficial community patch and color filter. I really hope they get this mess straightened out. Why give is 99 gb's worth of space to only be able to get up to around 7-10 gb's. There's gotta be a better system to tracking/knowing what mods are broken/bugged. Thanks for your help!!

I can't get past 3 Gb without running into issues. From what I read it's not the number of mods, but the number of indexes that the mods use that cause the issue. There's 254 indexes for mods to use. Some use 1 or 2 and some use more. If you hit the limit they ones at the bottom of the load order don't load. I don't know if it also leads to crashes for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised.

That would depend on the mod. For example if its an appearance mod such as a reskinning of an existing outfit for Sarah that automatically applies then you wont notice a change however if its a mod that adds a new items to the game or outfit in this case then you might have to pass it over to her. Although if you have a save intact where it was already purchased then it will most likely reapply as well after the process in the video is complete if that makes sense. Also thanks for the sub!

Is there a place online that when provided the specific mods I would like, it would reorder them in the correct load order for Starfield? I find that my games are inconsistent in terms of loading mods, long play sessions, and simply loading a saved game. I have come to the point where I feel like starting over with my character since I am having such a hard time with my saved games. Please help!

Yes Bethesda has a creations page online you have to link your game account to it and you can manage your creations from there when creations won't behave correctly. I only delete all my creations and redownload if the game refuses to launch or load!

The problem that I have is that if you delete your Mods and you have, for example, the personal space station mod, you lose all items that you had placed or decorated within the location with. Is there a solution for this?

It doesnt reinsert the assets with the existing save with mods enabled? I have not experienced this however I also haven't done a lot of decorating and building with custom mods.

Yeah modding can be a pain but worth it for myself. My recommendation would be to do a backup vanilla save with no mods and have a separate save that is only used with mods just in case something goes wrong.

Thanks! Depends what the vehicle mod does. For example if its skinning the default vehicle it would go under Appearance. If its a mod that adds a new vehicle I would put it under Gameplay towards the end of this category. Or if its a vehicle performance mod it would go under Gameplay as well. Because of the sound loss issues I exit save disable creations and when I boot back up I delete the exit save and man save over it play my session rinse and repeat and I've had so many less issues on my series x I swear the only time I have major issues with creations is when I am playing and they push new creations onto the platform the creations update is bugged af too. I updated matilija today and loaded my save only to find in the ship builder my ships two weapons have gone and the cockpit isn't attached to the docker bay. So now I have got to rebuild this massive ship of mine 😩😅

Typically the process of what I went through in this video clears up any issues I have with appearance/re-skin mods. Are you putting your Appearance mods towards the bottom of your load order?

Okay, so I went through this work through and all mods were restored perfectly, but when I went to load my previous save, the game starts to load, then the game shuts down and take me back to my home screen as I quit the game. I'm stuck.

Hmmmm that is troubling. This process is what typically fixes that issue for me. I hate to say it but you might have to do what I had to do one time and that was write down every single mod on a peice of paper delete them all. Load into my save and resave the game. Then download them all manually and put them back in the load order. It took about an hour but did end up fixing my issue.

200% Facts!! This game, even before they released creations kit had me wanting to sling my xbox out the door. Then after all this, I've even been tempted to sell my xbox. Im having an issue on xbox where the same 3 mods are needing to "update" everytime i relogin the game. I update the mods then play for a while. Then quit later n turn off the xbox. Save your load order. Delete all mods. Then reload the saved load order. Should re-download them in the correct order. You should exit the game after each step.

Im not sure if you can do this on Cloud gaming but if you can get to your manage game section you can go to saved data and delete your Reserved Space. Make sure to save your load order before doing this. If that is not available try to just back up your load order to Bethesda cloud delete all mods and redownload them from the load order cloud sort.

I would recommend at a minimum getting to New Atlantis. It doesn't take long. However a lot of mods should still work depending on what it is.

Try to instead disable all mods, then go to dashboard, and then close Starfield, relaunch it, and re-enable. Its unfortunately a temporary fix but that is what works for me.

Depends how big the mod is however the Xbox reserves 100GB for mods so its quite a bit.

Completely fix creations? Probably not but lets hope they can tackle some bugs like this one and the audio issues. There will always be mods conflicting with other mods, etc but that is just the nature of modding.

I’m also on PC. I had that same issue about few weeks ago before the Rover patch in not being able to access Creations Store due to being over the mod limit of 110+ mods installed which I had. I couldn’t access creations store and the game crashed everything I tried to. So I just wasn’t able to play the game for a while. That problem fixed itself though when Bethesda dropped the Rover update and there was new game files that got installed. I was able to then again access the Creations Store, fix and delete mods to be between 100-110 mods but less than 110. I’ve not had that issue again since. You may have other issues and not entirely the same. But that was how my issues were resolved.

Every time i try to load, it crashes to the Xbox menu, works loading about 4 hours back on saves but I'm tired of replaying shit over and over. Any suggestions ? It recently did it again and i can't get anything to load now, ive tried reinstalling the game, deleting my stored data for the mods, reorganized everything in the load order to the best of my knowledge, i dont have an extreme amount of mods installed either. Probably around 25, no very large ones like outposts and settlements, and have the community patch at the top of the load order aswell

Ship mods definitely mess with my load order, make sure not to mess around and download more mods throughout a run, ummmmmmm definitely look at what type of mods you’ve installed, a lot of them can be busted

Anyone having issues with game and mods, here is my current work around. Hope it’s easier for yall. Go to creations, load order, tap select, save to bethesda, exit SF to Xbox home screen, tap start on game icon, delete reserved space, open game, delete all saves under load, open creations, load order, select, restore from bethesda, fix the load order since it shuffles it up a little for some reason, start, disable all creations, start, then re-enable them, exit creations, start a new game, allow start up and all visual glitches to show, save and exit out of SF, open game and those visual issues should be gone and game should be stable. Catch a smile out there. o7

Completely understand the frustration. Happens to me as well. On your main page you can hit the 3 dots under the recommended video and click "Not Interested". I've personally found this helps fine tune the suggestions.
