@@kungalexander829 What's refreshing about it? We saw it in other games. In Cyberpunk you can even move around during dialogues and manually draw a gun instead of using a dialogue option. It never locks you out of controls.

Im not impressed to be honest. Might still be a good game, but those load times between areas is like wtf. And the bethesda characters has to be a deliberate choice. They look so wierd Edit: I did get the premium edition through a gpu upgaade. Gotta say, it lives up to past bethesda games (76 not included) and I do really like. Its not that new, but it doesnt feel old either. If you like Fallout 4 and Skyrim, you will like this. Loading isnt bad. There are a few simple tricks to skip some of the additional fluff like from landing to getting off your ship. Learn those its easy to skip the majority of those 50 load screens.

15 hours in and I love it. The game just has a plethora of content and takes it to a new level for BGS. The combat is far better than i thought it'd be and more satisfying than Fallout for sure. Only had about 2 minor glitches with the game that immediately resolved themselves and were just amusing lol. You have to remember what makes these games magic. It's the freedom of choice and the plethora of content that'll have people uploading there own clips for years to come. Just on day one there was already just a ton of funny content in the form of bugs, funny dialogue, interesting discoveries etc etc. And also the modders are going to have an absolute field day with this one. This game will be relevant for years and will match if not exceed the success of Skyrim. People complaining this isn't their perfect space sim with seamless no loading screen travel in a simulated universe just need to donate to the star citizen fund and play that game and realize this is a killer space RPG

I do kinda wish there were less loading screen cutscene transitions like for fast traveling and leaving orbit since that does ruin immersion somewhat by just waiting for the game to play itself during cool moments but the rest looks fine so it's alright I guess

I was a big fan of the Outer Worlds and my biggest issue was that you couldn't fly the spaceship. The first few ours of Starfield somehow gave me Mass Effect 1 vibes... and hit me with a massive nostalgia wave. Somehow it feels similar to it - no "open world" per se, but interesting "smaller" areas packed with things to see and an amazing atmosphere. The only really "bad" point I remember from ME1, was the all planets you could land on were often kind of bland. But in Starfield the breath-taking vistas make those at the least stunning to look at while you search for stuff to loot. ME1 is still my favourite my favourite Space-RPG even though the sequels definitely did things better. But I am starting to think that Starfield will change that pretty quickly, because it feels like how I remember ME1 and what I wished for a new Mass Effect game to be like. It's all there: nice combat, intriguing exploration, interesting characters and interactions, your own cool spaceship, weapon and gear modding and customisation and even the facial animation that are a bit off sometimes. 😅 The only way to describe it in a TLDR way is that I just feel right at home. 😊

Making a Bethesda game with NMS exploration would probably cause a ton of issues with bugs. I don't think NMS has any scripted dialogue or scripted events does it?

but don't you think that not actually being able to fly your ship is a massive downgrade on gameplay? Like surely that should be the bare minimum on a game that is centered around flying and exploring the galaxy in a space ship. like it dosen't even need to be high effort, no mans sky did it perfectly where you are sitting in your ship and you basically just warp outside the atmosphere in a few seconds, far more immersive than just watching a cutscene every time, despite the fact they essentially have the exact same purpose compared to nms

@@toziassmittjack also notoriously plays campaigns on easier difficulty for better video making so hes not stuck in combat for extended periods of time lol From my experience so far the enemies are chunkier and use way more cover even just on normal

@@Subsistence69 the difficulty won’t affect how responsive and smart the AI is, a harder difficulty will only mean that it takes more damage to kill the enemies. Some reviews have noted this, how some bosses can be “bullet spongy” but that’s a whole separate issue. The fact is, for me, the AI is below par here

A challenging enemy ai has never bethesda's design philosophy They give simple enemy ai to make you feel powerful and a badass

⁠@@kungalexander829right but he was basically running up to them in the open and they only hit him a couple of times, his heath bar never dropped past like 80%. Also noticed that they downgraded armor in this game. In older Bethesda games what you saw an enemy wear/Wield is what they had on them/what could be looted. It seems like in this game it isn’t the case. Additionally when you take an enemies suit (armor) it doesn’t unequip form their corpse. A small and arguably insignificant thing but a downgrade non the less.

It's even more similar to Elite Dangerous. Many things from that game are directly taken and implemented in this game.

I’m sure the game is gonna be great in ways but the outer space stuff is genuinely bland and uninspired… makes me sad that you can’t actually move around in space and you just hang out in a tiny little box and all planets and stars are nothing more than a backdrop on the walls of said box. You can’t move closer or further away from them. Let’s hope the planetary zones are more interesting.

So far it doesn't seem bad. I'm gonna have to watch some more I guess, late game gameplay to see. I feel like constantly going to the menu to travel or do stuff will get old fast like some people were saying. Fast travel to space, fast travel to a location, fast travel to the ship, fast travel back to space and so on. I hope there's more actual exploration later on.

Going to the menu to travel doesn't bother me at all personally rather that then stare at the sake planet slowly getting closer for ten straight minutes etc.

Entering a planet on our own or watching a planet get closer for 10 min is for those who want to stimulate space experience. Atleast should have had both option .

First impression it's quality. When the elevator gets down the big mining cave in the first images, the shaking of the elevator shakes the ropes that are conected to the ceiling in a very realistic and detailed way. When you destroy a beryllium deposit it wrecks in parts and the pars have phiscs so it's not an animation it's a wrecked deposit itself. That was an example and I saw more good thing in only 4 minutes of gameplay. Very good.
