😮One thing I've found interesting is the different views and even different observations made by different reviewers for example How Colt mentioned having 8 locations you can setup bases while ACG said you can base build on "Most" locations others like Rand Al Thor19 didn't base build or ship build at all and some feel it's in depth and others felt is was rather shallow... Can't wait to see for myself... Enjoyed overall Colt thanks!

You can build on nearly any solid planet. The idea is finding a place that can extract resources. When he says 8, you’re limited to 8 outposts at a time.

VR is the only way to play something like this. NMS is a mess of barren worlds most of the time, but in VR it's actually amazing. You actually see the scale of these worlds across those huge vistas. Can't wait for the mods.

The game runs at a locked 30fps over 90% of the time. Make sure you have your TV or monitor set up correctly for the Xbox Series Console

I'm about 10ish hrs in and at level 9, here's my thoughts so far: The game is so huge and looks great but I'm disappointed a little so far, mainly with their odd design and control choices. Considering how much time we'll be spending in menus you'd think they'd be more intuitive. At least with the world map you can hold start to open it, but inventory is annoying to get to. And there's a slight delay in the menus too. Being a Bethesda game, it's odd the main menu is the start button (I'm on controller) instead of the usual B. I was just playing Fallout 76 again after Colt was raving about how much better it is now, and it's improved a lot. But there's smart things they did in that game that's not in this. Perfect example: holding A to eat or drink a food, scrapping materials, making the right directional button an auto health (I mapped it to that anyways but I gotta press right then A). Workbenches aren't obvious at all, I didn't know there was a kitchen on my ship until I accidentally pressed A near it. And I didn't realize there was a cargo hold until several hours in. Items you can pick up don't need to sparkle or be too obvious but sometimes I can't tell between what's takeable and what's not. Scanning does help with that. Space flight feels useless overall considering you can fast travel everywhere. It's nice to look at but so far I've hardly had any use for it. Visually it's not doing anything new, lots of Mass Effect vibes in regards to design, music and the planets. And just like in ME1 all the planets are barren with a few points of interest. It has a generic sci Fi design to it where every area or planet just looks like visuals we've seen a million times before. There's the standard Blade Runner, Cyberpunk, Star Wars, Alien, Aliens. Still it looks great, just nothing new. The lack of any type of tutorial at all in some areas is shocking, especially flying and ship building. I think doing the Vanguard recruit mission is imperative to do early on and should be a main mission for learning the essentials. All that aside it's still a great game and I'm enjoying it. I just wish it wasn't playing it so "safe" if you know what I mean. It's still a Bethesda game: the world is massive with so much to do, I'm obsessively picking up everything, getting overweight then dropping stuff or trading it with my companion ( why isn't there a scrap option??). As it stands right now I don't think this is will win game of the year, itll probably get nominated but Zelda or Baldur's or something else will probably win. And I will still put 100+ hrs into it.

I wonder if other people are as frustrated with the robot companion as I am. He gets in my way continuously, alerts enemies to my presence, he tries to stand ON me when I'm sneaking, ruins the stealth approach, and he cannot receive instructions. Oh, and he does not fight against enemies, but just stands in front of them and swipes with his arm once in a while. I try to lock him behind doors, but he clips next to me. I hope they fix his AI or give me the option to leave him on the ship. This is ruining the game for me.

Downloaded this awhile back off gamepass (series x btw). I’m sure it’s fun but the low frame rate ruined it for me. Ended up uninstalling about an hour into playing. I am super excited and can't wait to get home tonight to play but something I noticed in your video is that the enemies do not seem very aggressive (at all?) in a firefight. For the most part they simply hid or even stood around while you shot them. What difficulty setting was this play thru on?

Colt. Buddy. Did you just say "The character models are great"? These models under good lighting are ok at best, and horrendously bad under less than ideal lighting. I can already smell the bs fluff piece taking form at 2 min. I've already watched 6-7 reviews and ppl have wildly differing opinions on all the facets of this game. But not one praises the character models and uncanny facial expressions. Come ooon man. Make it at least less obvious.
