im all for xbox console/plus steam etc as long as they allow mod support for steam etc games otherwise i will skip and stick to pc! i have to be able to download the mods for pc/steam games or even if they actually bring warcraft to this generation other wise pointless

1:23:30 My issue isn't and has never been how the female character model looks, but as a HUGE fan of Fable I like to immerse myself into the world of Albion and play as a hero as if it were me, thats just how I play a game like Fable or Skyrim, I dont want to be a woman or a lizard humanoid (skyrim) character, I want to be a man with the clothes and weapon customisation of my choice and the ability to do good and evil deeds etc and be fully immersed in this world as my avatar. If this new Fable forced me to play as that woman, it wouldnt be a deal breaker; I'd still give the game a solid chance but it would inevitably break the immersion for me and ultimately would NOT feel like a Fable game to me and probably alot of Fable fans out there. Being painted as a sexist or whatever for having a VALID concern when it relates to a Fable game is highly unappreciated, if a developer wants to make an open world RPG based on a female only protagonist then do it but dont call it Fable. - The Welsh Gamer.

Most titles aren’t Play Anywhere and Microsoft/Xbox needs to fix that. Also a big problem is that the MS Store games are often inferior to the game version on Steam, Epic and GOG because it’s missing DLSS, HDR or Ray Tracing. It’s somehow coded a bit differently. And they don’t allow users to edit eni files on pc to make changes. MS needs to step it up and fix those issues.

Play Anywhere for both first and third party would be awesome, but depends a lot on 3rd party participation. The ad campaign may have been based on them already having their game entitlement program on line already. They had to delay the launch of the entitlement thing but the ads were already paid for maybe?

I think its valid that people want to play as a male in fable. The fun of fable is running around impregnating people in between quests and doing obnoxious things to the people. I bet less than 100 girls played the OG fable within 5 years of its release. Its about the choices. Complete disingenuous argument with the guest. Why pander to such a small audience? I know that the first Fable you were locked in to a male character, my memory says the second was the same, so I think it was only the third game that gave you a choice.

But i guarantee you can only play the games you own IF you pay for xbox live still. I bet they won't work without it. That's the killer for me. If they stopped xbox live subscription (just to play online) it would work. I like Ultimate for the new games they have with EA but needing xbox live for use online in general is old fashioned and needs to die

Fyi being able to play as a male protagonist is a huge win and a must for me. At its' heart fable is an RPG where you play as who you want to be, that is the reason to play RPGs. Since Fable 2 you've been able to choose gender, so there is no reason to change that. Just because I'm a male and I don't want to play my character as a female, doesn't mean anything other than that. It doesn't make me an "ist" or whatever. I enjoy games and movies but I have a very limited time in which i can consume entertainment. As such I'm not going to play a game or watch a movie no matter how hyped or "critically aclaimed" it is. If that entertainment doesn't meet certain criteria I will simply skip it and find something else. For me and likely many others not being able to play as a character I want and can connect to, is one of the biggest things. If a game doesn't give me that option I don't look twice, and I move on regardless of how well it's "reviewed".
