@@seafafrage6934 7800x3d is more powerful than 5900x. But in my test, RTX 3070 Ti is fully loaded, so you won't get any more fps. Not counting +2 fps that will be spent on video recording

I think Todd was telling the truth when he said that he wants people to play this game in 30 fps. When it comes to playing it in 60 fps, the optimization here is absolutely messed up. No, honestly, it's worse than messed up. It's fucked up through and through :/

Customers have to be more demanding, otherwise these half-baked games are going to become a real standard, not just a shitty trend.

Simple because they’re lazy and are happy enough if most mid range pcs can get 60fps with a few setting tweaks. They don’t give a shit. They were probably aiming for the 4070ti ultra to be a stable 60fps. Either lazy or a donation from nvidia because they’re struggling shifting their super expensive overpriced new gpu’s

I just refunded it. I have the same samsung monitor and my 3070ti laptop version in a Razer Blade 15 was getting 16 FPS with everything on the lowest. No other AAA title struggles for me to get 60fps on medium to high at 32:9. The game doesnt go bast 21:9 and even at 16:9 my fps maybe hit 20s max

@@AkhilMulpuru well.. a 3070ti laptop GPU is FAR weaker than a regular 3070ti, it's closer to a desktop 1070 in raw performance. Even still, the fact that mine will get this poor performance makes me doubt that i'll ever play starfield with this gpu. I'm used to 144fps, everything else feels bad

@StopaskingformynameKZbin I didn't realize it was only a 1070 in raw performance I thought it would at least be comparable to a more recent card even if it is the laptop version but on my 32:9 monitor I can usually expect around 60fps avg most games without exception with some tweaked settings or dlss. Many times I even get closer to 100 but like 15-20? After waking up early to play and troubleshooting for 2 hrs a realized what's the point 😅

Thanks for the video. How about texture quality ? Are there VRAM limitations on 8gb cards at 1440p ? The fact that FSR barely does anything let me think that the game has a significant bottleneck somewhere else: CPU, memory bandwidth, vram whatever... Since GPU usage stays pegged at 99% it seem to indicate that it is not a CPU bottleneck... Just weird ...

Texture quality is not bad, especially for interiors. High + FSR: Off + 1440p requires less than 8GB of VRAM. "high + fsr: off + 1440p": 41 avg fps, "high + fsr: 75% + 1440p": 50 avg fps on video. Therefore, fsr still helps.

dudee it's 1440p not 1080 you should add minimum 10 or 20 fps more if you play quality at 1080 + this is bethesda game i think they make a good work their all game release with tons of bugs Starfield have lesser bug then skyrim and fallout in first appearance

@@BureaucraticEquation0-cx9su The problem is not the gpu (it is still a powerful gpu) but the game, the game doesn't look particularly impressive but it runs like trash, cyberpunk that looks significantly better, runs way better that this game. You can run cyberpunk on 1440p on ultra (without raytracing) and get around 60fps with 3070ti. Cyberpunk isn't even considered a well optimized game either so I can't even imagine what kind of shitty optimization starfield has.

@@BureaucraticEquation0-cx9su I think you're the one with an L take here, cyberpunk came out in 2020 and it looks way better than starfield and runs way better than starfield just because a game is a few years old doesn't mean it's an outdated game. Yes it was a mess when it came out as well and hopefully starfield will improve but it's still not an excuse to release an unoptimized game. 3070 is definitely not a low end card if it is then most people playing games on toasters because most popular cards on steam are 1650, 3060, 1060, 2060, 1050ti. 1650, 1050, 1060, 2060 could be considered low end cards nowadays but 30 series cards (excluding 3050) ar mostly mid range or higher. 60 series were always considered a mid range series card and 3070 and 3070 ti outperform 4060-4060ti almost in every game unless dlss 3 is enabled. So no 3070 is definitely not a low end gpu unless you think a brand new 4060 series cards are already outdated, 3070 should be considered a mid tier card at worst.

Yes, it's weird. RX 6600 XT gives out an average fps: 50 and RTX 3070 Ti: 56 on custom + FSR: 75% + 1440p.

@@ts6603 Yeah it is a shame, but the overall experience is still a good one. In my opinion Act 1 is 10/10, Act 2 is 9/10 and Act 3 is a 6.5 or 7/10. Would be higher if they optimise it better and release some of the cut content like Upper City, which is needed for some of the companion quest lines. Their previous game DOS2 had the same final act issues, but they fixed it eventually.

it makes no sense bethesda recommends a 10600k / rtx 2080 / 6800xt , 3070ti / 5900x are above those specs (nvidia option wise) still the game runs like shit , also 6800xt rtx 2080 are not even same tier cards anyway probably 6800 runs twice as fast as a 2080 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
