My views? I find it silly that Bethesda-Proper tries to compare the DLC to Far Harbor, despite the key staff that made Far Harbor good... not being a part of this game. ES6 is some strange concept that supporters will claim is a Unicorn; anybody with a nose will tell you the Unicorn is a dead horse (after they stop gagging), and anyone with eyes and ears will point out how the unicorn has a swarm of flies nesting and feeding off of it. There's *Certainly* "Hope" for the game, but it's hope held by the foolish. Microsoft *Needs* to outsource the Zenimax IPs they purchased, before they're dragged into a swamp of Complacent Incompetence like Halo was.

If I had to guess, the reason why Andreja doesn't offer much to the DLC narrative despite being directly connected to the setting is because Bethesda doesn't want to lock people who had her die in the main quest out of content. Which is incredibly lame and lazy as hell, but also in keeping with how the rest of the game is designed.

"DLC doesn't lack content for the price that it costs" Uh, it does exactly just that. For $30 this should've been damn near a expansion in terms of content. Remnant 2 has $10 DLCs that have more dialogue and story than the entirety of this slop. For $30 you can get all of the Remnant 2 DLC currently and have WAY more content, when it comes to weapons, armor, story, etc. BGS had a full year to try and make this worth $30 and they screwed it up. They didn't even fix most of the QoL concerns players had with the game. At this point I'm keen to think that BGS has pretty much given up on Starfield without outright admitting it. The entire writing in Starfield makes FO4 look like a damn Spielberg flick in comparison. Really hoping BGS doesn't screw up ES6.

12:50 I don't know if you are just misremembering, but Fallout 3, 4, and Skyrim did not "virtually let you so anything" They had tons of NPCs that you couldn't kill. I don't usually glaze New Vegas, but that is the only Bethesda Softworks game where you can actually just kill everyone (other than Yes-Man, which has an in-game explanation). Makes sense since BGS didn't develop it.
@Astrosive3 ай бұрын
I get what you’re saying but I definitely think you had more freedom. Maybe not as much as NV but definitely more than Starfield It’s been a couple years since I played Skyrim but Fallout 3 you could at least kill most NPC’s in a settlement right? Like you could walk into Megaton, kill the sheriff immediately. Go up to the bar and kill Burke. And then save the town or detonate the bomb. All without talking to anyone. The game let you fail quests before you even started them by doing stuff like that. You could at least kill most of the town if you wanted.

You would think they have developed their own means to travel around the stars but apparently they go to the settled systems to shop ship parts from stroud eklund. Such a huge miss in creating something unique and meaningful, an anti-climax. Neither do we get new game mechanics like space station building or new skill traits that can be aquired by interacting with the varuun culture. It’s as lame as i predicted. I feel that the Bethesda team is lacking leadership with a vision, antention to details and an understanding what made previous titles that popular. This is not the way to keep the fan-base commited. It recembles the stratefy of The Creative Assembly and the Total War Series, most of the commited total war fans abandoned their later titles and even the online community is now dead.

Your evaluation is the same I would have formulated. So, now I don't need to do it :) Now, Starfield is something to debate. I played 761 hours. Some things I like, some I don't. But in general I feel Starfield is an unfinished game somehow. The first release (content) feels like a scraped version of what the game aught to be. With the release of Shattered Space I am convinced this content was originally supposed to be included in the base game. Shattered Space is not a bad idea. It's just badly directed. At least it adds some custom areas you can revisit. But looking at games like Baldur's Gate (and even Mass Effect trilogy) Starfield is way behind. A galaxy with a thousand planets demands a LOT. It didn't deliver. I think Bethesda 'ran out of money' and decided to release the game as is. Most content has no connection to the rest of the game. This is pretty frustrating. As you mentioned Andreja need a much larger role in Shattered Space, but she is more or less just following you, giving a few comments now and then. I'm pretty disappointed about Starfield. I had the hope this game was the one to replace Skyrim and Fallout 4. But I was just bored after a while. Especially before they added the vehicle (Mako...). Maybe Bethesda can work harder build on Starfield over the years and make something good that lifts the game. The template is there. We just need the spooky atmospheres, the deep characters and 'the sexy angles'. Starfield is BASICALLY not a bad game. It's just too scraped. The idea is good. The thought of parallel universes is a sci-fi classic subject. What annoys me a bit is that I actually bought a brand new SSD just for this game.

I think the fundamental problem with Starfield base game is the conflict of core gameplay mechanics, especially with respect to NG+ The game actually functions fairly well as a looter/shooter even without the Fallout VATS system. The issue is the terrible decision that was made to make you lose all your stuff when you go to NG+. In order to organically progress XP, skills, and Star powers, you are forced to go into NG+. However doing so makes you lose everything, all your weapons, suits, ships, outposts, resources, credits, etc. And the Starborn suit and ship you get for each NG+ are complete GARBAGE compared to normal gear.
@davidrenton3 ай бұрын
why would you play NG+ with all your stuff, it's one of the few things in Starfield worth doing (far worse than their prior games) but playing the game again and having no loot collection, ship construction. sure it's busy work , but without it a SF playthrough would be even more dull You would have already done the Quests, got the loot,seen the POI's, so what would be the point in doing it again for a game with no real RPG , Choice elements and just more spongey combat. SF is a one and done, one i've finished it, i'm never going back to it

House Va'Ruun is a significantly less interesting version of Morrowind from 2002. The only reason it had mystery and intreague was because there was basically no information on them. Now that the DLC is here, they lost ALL THAT. This is what is the future of Elder Scrolls, Fallout and everything else Bethesda touches. Boring, safe, easy and barebones. Goodbye Bethesda. @@SistaCitizen This is "Misthaze Cavern". It’s located to the right of the Rift. To the northwest of "MAL'EEM DAM", there is an industrial pipe. From there, you need to head north along the cliff, and at the base, you’ll find a cart with a tarp.

Stafield is a failure. The dlc is also a failure. Bathesda should give up on this game, its a lost cause

Far Harbour is crap. Binary story choices, boring locations miles apart, garbage characters, and the instigators of the whole story are nappy-pushers. It is not a role-playing experience, it is a walk through someone else's story and pick one of four different ways to say yes experience. If that is the best Fallout 4... well, yeah, that is a true Disney Wars experience. The best of it is still hated and vilified by many.

What most haters dont know is there is a companion (once you beat the expansion, and go to the bar with the overlook section over the city, at one of the tables there is a old man who wants to travel with you) in Shattered Space and random encounters like the one where you see people in a sort of disaster relief tent set up like in those zombie games and shows wondering where their food is coming in so they dont die.

The DLC is great! I do agree with the $30 price tag. It's far too short to ask that much. Dawn of Ragnarok was $30 and it offered a lot of hours of content.

It is vital that Bethesda does not listen to criticisms of their games. People who claimed that they were Fallout 4 gamers but were not persuaded Bethesda to create an online fallout game. They then did not buy Fallout 76 and criticised it even more than they had criticised Fallout 4. This wasted 4 years of development time. If Bethesda had not listened to their critics then we would now be playing TES 6 and Fallout 5. I like the procedurally generated quests in Starfield because they ensure that I will have new quests to try until Fallout 5 appears in 2032. I am pretty sure that TES 6 will have 100% handcrafted quests but think that given the fact that the starfield universe is huge, procedurally generated planets were unavoidable.
