Cargo Haulers abandon all mobility for capacity. For that reason, I think Cargo Haulers should be the very soul of deep space opulence. I want crafting options, quickly accessible living quarters, maybe some examples of asymmetrical builds. The fleshed out ship you built here flows much better than the skeleton you featured in your last how to. Even though the video was 36 minutes, I didn't mind because there was an abundance of useful content.

Hell yeah, you've no idea how happy it makes me to see this. EDIT: This new design just flows so much better than the original one. I augmented it a little bit so that the bumpers for the wings were spread open with a weapon emplacement in between them and I think I was able to turn this from a luxury sports vehicle to a flying tank. I did manage to swap out a bunch of the cargo modules for structural components to just keep the ship with enough hull points.

Thus far I have concentrated on just an effective combat ship, so size/mass was a significant factor. Accordingly I constained the hab modules sufficiently that aligning the ladder was relatively simple. However having built that battlecruiser, I now need a proper cargo hauler, and the mass of the ship will not be an issue. I can go nuts making an interior suitable for such a ship. This example is very useful to watch before embarking on that venture.

I love these ship build videos but it's a bit sad that everyone ends up with almost identical ships at the end. I'll eat my hat if I see another Stroud all white space boat

Due to the way things work if you like a somewhat sleeker style options are limited, but Monday I will release an A-class build which mixes up things a bit more and white is not going to the colour of the day :D

hy, great ship design, i have build it , but no mater how much i tried the game doesnt put a door on secont level companionway towatds the bridge, any sugestions?

Try building the companionways from the bridge so mouse over that bridge door location and then select the module to connect to it. Also make sure you have no other ladders hiding in the ship somewhere which would indicate a conflict.

I always have a hard time changing the unique ships like the Frontier or the Razorleaf. It just doesn't sit right with me. I wanna keep them as they were and only started building my own ship when I stole a random pirate ship lol

I built mine exactly how you built yours. However, I'm having trouble because the 2x1 computer core on the first level of the cockpit won't connect to the middle companionway. As a result, in order for me to reach it, I have to go to the third level through the cockpit, go down its stairs, and reach it that way, which is annoying lol. Any idea why this might be happening?

Hmmm, with the science reactor skill maxed you could just completely keep everything fully powered, what level do you need to be to get those higher level parts, I'm still peterimg around lvl 20

I just cant understand how to get 28 LY with 8k in mass... I have maxed out piloting and starship design. But i dont understand how it works. I add fuel, i get more mass i lose LY distance. Can you explain in a short version how to balance it? THANKS! Love the video, great job!

There is also a skill in the science tree top of my head that extends jump range, that combined with the most powerful grav drive nets the 28LY

Built it all only for it to tell me there is one error but when i check its only the low mobility warning and wont let me buy the parts and complete the build.

Might be lacking the lvl to get the parts then, this is very much a late game lvl 51+ build.

@@Lintary Okay! I figured it out, it was the "connect your bridge to your landing bay" Error but didnt display in the actual error menu, only the normal warning that's there for being less mobile. Reconnected the companion ways leading to the bridge and that fixed the issue. love the ship! Thanks again.
