Yeah, this type of toxic personal never good enough preference is why the industry is so shit. I love Bethesda, I'm not always happy with them. But I'm sincerely hoping starfield does reasonably well. If not then Bethesda game studios might just be dissolved by Microsoft and left ONLY as a production outfit for actual studios to develop games for Microsoft. I do not want to lose the magic, mystery, and insanity of Bethesda games. Elder Scrolls. Fallout, and hopefully Starfield.. are simply too important to many many of us gamers to just blindly and arrogantly turn away. I believe Bethesda learned a powerful lesson with F76. We do not want Bethesda to do what every one else is doing. "here's a cheapened experience that isn't what you asked for and dreamed of... and well.sell you the rest of the game in store through microtransactions" I'm wholly convinced Ed Microtransactions exist for no other purpose than to use a shit unfinished game to fleece a couple extra bucks out of the consumer's naive stupidity to recoup costs on a shit timetable for development cycle. They can't make the money with sales and support. And they know that.. so they try and interrim.measure to get some costs back. Believe it or not. And the second target of people are new fans. These remakes absolutely appeal to new fans. What new fan wants to play some aged hard to access game? (Even if they did, there would be no profits for the producer at this point). The new fans would rather play a new, modernized version of something. No, it's the that sense of exploration, procedurally generated events, being who we want to be, to go on our own adventures, that is why people play Bethesda games. I'm not sure why Bethesda suddenly has so many people hating on them and their games when everyone already knows what to expect from them.

THANK YOU Jesus these people want EVERY game to be the most innovative ground breaking game of the year for every single game during every single release. I haven’t been more annoyed with the gaming community constantly complaining and regurgitating the same opinions they heard from their favorite KZbinrs which both have no idea what they’re talking about. I have a feeling when starfield comes out it’s gonna be a consistent solid experience the entire time, and because we haven’t gotten a consistently decent game in all aspects it’s going to be game of the year. I just know it. And frankly I don’t care if it’s not, I’m very excited, Bethesda is the only game studios that makes games consistently exactly how I like them and they will continue to do so. And Fallout 76 doesn’t count because I don’t care for multiplayer games, it wasn’t the same studio that were all familiar with, and the only work they did on it was the wastelanders expansion and frankly I played it just for that and it was genuinely good. It’s a god damn space rpg that lets you do whatever you want. Not even mass effect can say that. If you want that space marine mass effect vibe you can be, if you want to be a space bounty hunter you can be. If you want to be a smuggler or space pirate you can be. Tell me what single player games let you do that? THATS why I’m excited. Space battles are in the game and they look good. Those 1000 planets are there because in every Bethesda game you can go anywhere you see so they wanted to give you the option of traveling to every planet you see even if some of them won’t be interesting. And it’s up to we the players to make those planets interesting. Build a secret smugglers den on one, or a forward operating base, or a space farm and start your own industry. This is what what makes Bethesda games great. Is Role play and decent enough systems to further support that role play. And there isn’t a single developer who does games for us rpers like Bethesda. Cyberpunk was supposed to be that and it didn’t even come close. So I’m excited for Starfield and it will be just enough to hold me over until Elder Scrolls 6 and miss out if you want to miss out.

@@DirtCobaine No one said anything about innovation. It's just you weird fanboys that flocked here from reddit or some other hellhole. What Synthman is obviously complaining about regarding most games is that the gameplay in new games is often extremely dull, and doesn't compare to older titles - which isn't surprising, due to game development becoming increasingly mainstream, less talented/capable people are entering the game development industry (it should be noted that originally it was almost entirely populated by enthusiastic supernerds; it's really not a field "normal" people can compete in). I.e. not innovation, just quality of gameplay.

Emil did work on Nuka World however so that's not surprising that DLC flopped.

I think Y’all are jumping to conclusions way to quick. I understand the skepticism around this game and this company. However it’s early gameplay they have a year to fix it so don’t trash the game when it hasn’t even come out yet . Don’t hate just to hate.

The last time we saw unfinished or rough game footage for a showcase that disappointed was halo. That ended up being delayed a whole year more. It’s understandable for ppl to feel worried or have doubts here

It's not just the perfomance issues. It's the overall disappointment in the graphics, which are decidedly underwhelming. T his game will have been eight years in the making by the time it releases, it's next-gen only, and it already looks dated. The facial modeling is eneaven, ranging from super rough to kinda good. It's not amazing by any stretch of the imagination. Then there was the subpar gunplay. The AI looked stupid and entirely unaffected by you firing at them, the guns sounded bad, etc. The silent protagonist is a peculiar choice, of which I'm not a fan. Finally, there's the whole "space sim" stuff. Essentially, NMS's type of exploaration, which I've always found boring af. The collective concern for the game is absoutely warranted.

@@tearincottonpanties Yea, but Halo Infinite's campaign was better than 3,4,5's campaign. It was a good singleplayer game. As for multiplayer, I can't say. I've never been interested in Halo's mp like that, but from the little I did play, I had fun.

I'm playing through RE4 right now and I have to say its a great game. It's engaging, it has a wide variety of player choices when tackling a situation, it has a very good inventory management system and it strikes a nice balance in tone. Things aren't always serious with some of the character's voice lines being funny and memorable. The RE4 remake will probably not be like this at all and probably be very similar to REVillage. I don't have very high hopes for the remake and no one else should.

@@AdamSmasherReal I'm not saying that at all. I think that the goofy tone of RE4 will be missing from the remake which will therefore make the remake worse because the tone makes up a lot RE4's personality which makes it memorable. Not writing off the remake entirely because of the tone shift, just saying it will probably be worse.

My thoughts exactly . It could be the greatest game ever made, but it would still be a poor RE4 remake by virtue of removing the qualities that made RE4 special. Reminds me a bit of Super Paper Mario. A great game, but not a Paper Mario game.

You mean hating because its not their style of gameplay? Because most of it sounds like it. I agree with some points and im also concerned, but facts are. We barely know this game. It probably releases bugged, combat seems mediocre as always, and im concerned about framerates. I don't get all the pre release hate thats all, only thing thats worse than that is preordering.

@@russrandolph i do see a constant decline in quality games, who isn't. Just look at the "AAA" titles the last couple years in general. People are overhyping everything. The only thing im saying here is, he said "mining with a laser is boring" and is comparing it to the release of No Man Sky, but No Man sky failed on release because they couldn't hold onto the expectations they promised (also a Bethesda problem so lets see) No Man sky came pretty much empty. and in NMS you literally got nothing to do, not even a Story on release. You can't compare that and say it failed because mining is boring. Some people might enjoy that. but i do agree with your comment so i'm not gonna start something here, i just had to make that clear.

Hell it's gonna be on gamepass so that immediately improve my personal first impressions. This. We don't need to overhype this game, otherwise we will be disappointed because perfect games don't exist, just games that are more enjoyable than other games. I am sure I would actually be a bit impressed with a few of the titles that they showed because I am not that hyped for them, I am interested sure, but I don't think that any of them is already predestined to be a generation defining masterpiece. I am actually hyped for starfield a bit because that is my favorite genre for fiction, though I am trying to still keep expectations at reasonable levels.

Personally, I'm not hoping it'll be perfect, I just want it to at least be bearable. Skyrim's quests weren't interesting, but they were good filler, and they made the game worthwhile. If they were even 90% of skyrim's quality, then I'll be happy.
